Why not, Sailuja?
Suraj's transformation happened overnight, in an ambiguous context. We can tell ourselves that this is just bad writing, but no one can write as badly as this!
If it had been only a careless written scenario, then all the characters would have had inconsistent dialogues and actions, but Suraj is the only one who is subject to such situations.
I get angry and frustrated myself at the things I see and I end up over criticizing Suraj, but then I remember that the writers have left so many clues that indicate that things are not as they seem...
... two times Suraj told very vehemently to Chakor to stay away from Ragni and to let her do whatever she wants...
... Suraj told KN that he never needed Chakor for protection and he was never afraid of being killed by him...
... before entering into KN's trap for the first time Suraj had an external monolog saying that he is making his own destiny and the story which started with him will end with him and he won't let other innocent people get hurt because of him...
I can't visualize the big picture and what he is after, but there is something more, no doubt, and that's the reason that no one of us can make sense of what we watch and we feel that the story has reached the ultimate state of insanity.
KN once taught Suraj a lesson: "Don't do nothing with your own hands! Smart is the man who makes others do his work!" Thus, maybe Suraj is waiting for the proper time while letting the others play their parts to the exhaustion.
Therefore, Sailuja, I still think that it is possible...
