The way he was talking to Chakor today and the way he was looking at her as if he was weighing in her words and action...I don't know !!!!
Today Suraj told Chakor that someone taught him that killing is not the solution, but it wasn't necessary to kill Shikhu was it ???
Suraj could have just knocked him out and drive himself to safety...to Patna, why didn't he ????

It probably was necessary, Eshu. Shooting Shikhu, I mean.
Plus, I think the track was put in when VJ got sick. If you notice he doesn't really move around much.

I felt bad for Suraj yesterday. He appears to accept every single misconception that Chakor has about him just to please her, a thing that is not right.

It is so not true that he used to treat Shikhu badly. Suraj once told that he has paid Imli a lot of money for her services and I am sure he gave Shikhu even much more money because in his hierarchy Shikhu was always above Imili and he trusted him more. Also Shikhu stayed by Suraj even when he had no money to pay him. If he did that back then it means that Suraj must have been a good master to him. He could have abandoned him when he was free to do so. That's why I don't believe that Shikhu betrayed him. I think is a game between the two of them.

Suraj seems to say whatever Chakor wants to hear. He was not that bad with his servants. If Suraj used to be evil than she should have looked at her "innocent" little sister and how much she loved power and how badly she was treating the bandhua people. Suraj had to calm her down because she was going over the top.

I don't know what to make of Suraj' s recent behaviour, but I am no longer afraid of an early confession of Chakor because she is falling for the wrong guy. For a man that doesn't exist. Suraj has become just another version of Vivaan only to be accepted by her. I've always felt that he was extremely jealous of the way Chakor used to defend Vivaan and Aditya like crazy and now he has finally obtained that for himself, but with the cost of annihilating his own personality.

I want Suraj to repent, but not for things that he hasn't done or said just because Chakor believes he did them.

I want Suraj to stop pretending and show her who he really was and who has become. He was a bad person, but he was never the monster she thought he was and now definitely he is not this helpless coward.

I couldn't believe my ears when he apologized for not running away fast enough as per her instructions!!! C'mon, Suraj, there is a limit to everything! How low to you want to degrade yourself just to gain your dear wife sympathy? All of these may backfire on you some day. You must accept you are no Vivaan!

@Esha, about the "monster" part, what I was trying to articulate is that Chakor still believes that he was a complete monster before their marriage, not after. She didn't know him really well back then and she still lives with this misconception.

It's true that Suraj was bad, but not equally bad as she thinks. Giving his position, he could have done far much worse things. He used to scold his servants, but also knew how to reward them. Imli, for example, she was his bandhua, he didn't have to, but every time after he scolded her, he felt guilty and went and bought her chocolates and ice-creams. He also paid her a great deal of money. Everything that it is inside Kasturi's home (the tv, the refrigerator...) was bought with money given by Suraj. As she was his slave, he could have paid her nothing. Shikhu must have received the same treatment. And he was not insensitive to their emotional state. He did ask them if there is something wrong with them.

So, he had a heart and some sensitivity before marriage. I felt that last night he was giving her too much credit. And I felt bad that he said he deserves Shikhu's betrayal because he was a good master to him after all.

She has this prejudice of him that he was absolutely monstrous before meeting her. This is the same misconception that led her to believe that Suraj used Imli for his own personal interests. In her mind, it is Suraj who persuaded her sister to give in only to play with her. And we all know this is not true. It was Imli who threw herself at him and it was Suraj who rejected her time after time. Suraj was never the guy to chase girls only to dump them later, after playing with their feelings.

I feel like Chakor is in the dark when it comes to Suraj and I don't know why he keeps her there and never defends himself.

I also don't know what he is after, but it does look that he wants to reach a certain goal with all this alteration of himself.
