ok! how many of us face palmed and wanted to chuck something at our screens when our Suraj babu went back to being err himself just moments after that tender and gentle and beautiful hug moment.
and started berating Chakor; his jagat maata?

i did.
and then i had to burst out in amusement and laughter.
nayy don't declare me crazy so soon. hear me out.
in the tele land where all types of highly mahatma souls are floating around (especially female ones) who would put their maa, baba, bhai, behen, rishtedaar, padoosi, padoosi ke pets, doodhwala and dhobi over their own-selves.. man! it is SO refreshing to see a guy who is all.. me first!😆.
unapologetically at that.
he has his own brand of diabolical intelligence and street smartness. but the brand of Chakor's thinking; the greater good, save all, all encompassing goodness; now that level of thoughts are beyond him to comprehend at first go.
and he reacts accordingly.
and that's the reason i laugh and smile in amusement.

when Chakor and the jailer where calmly discussing death; his death to be more precise; he was wearing the same expressions.

the actor nails this 'yeh ho kya raha hai' expressions ekdum pat down.
though i do wish Suraj would tone down the caustic attitude towards Chakor when he gets in this mood frame.. got to hand it to him he is one of kind.
one who absolutely no qualms in using a girl as shield to save his own butt.
and yet one who would be her shield and guard her with all that he has when the time comes. Whether he agrees with her brand of 'save the world' mission or not. (the fight against hafta gundas)
whether his rambo act would get him into sure shot trouble with the ones who are already pissed off with him. (yogesh bhai.. now KN and co)... he will be her guardian angel.
what a unique piece of work indeed.
maybe that's why; half the time i couldn't decide if i should be gnashing my teeth at him..
or laugh my guts out.
and then i remember this scene.
Chakor: Ragini sunna chahati hai ki aapne Suraj ko khatam kar diya.
Jailer bobs his head enthusiastically: Haa! Haa..
and our Suraj babu says:
Kya Haa!
mujhe nahi marna!
and i shake my head in amusement and exasperation.
kya banda hai..
ekdum one of a kind... in both good ways.. and bad.
