Suraj was the same guy who was missing Chakor and her planning when he was confused what to do and when she actually started planning he was behaving like a jerk...how in the world does he even think that Chakor would harm him

i don't think he actually believed that himself. but he loves his own life tad too much to take it easy to see his own wife discussing his 'death' with baying-for-his-blood-executioner-jailer.
yeah his attitude needs a kick on his rear end.. but for now i am too amused to do the honours.😆. for now.

I honestly think when it comes to Suraj, it's like 10% because of the writers and 90% because of VJ that I love him. He makes even the most ordinary dialogues amazing, especially when it comes to humor. Also I really think he didn't buy the whole ImRaj track himself.
That whole "tum ro rahi ho...humaare liye?" yesterday made me melt into a puddle of mush. He was so thanda throughout the "I looove Imli" phase and it seemed so deliberate.
Can you just imagine what it'll be like when he falls for Chakor (which seems to be just around the corner)??!!! I'll probably need someone to defibrillate me 😆

totally agree. it is more VJ than Suraj. he brought in so many shades, nuances, life of his own in a certain Suraj Rajvanshi.

tum ro rahi ho.. gah i love his voice. and modulations.
the way he looked at her and said it.. dil goes hummm.

defibrillate😆. i could have helped you but for the fact that people would be wiping me; or rather; my puddle off the floor that day.

He doesnt have a problem with Chakor's Jaggat Matha attitude. He just wants to be the 1st one she thinks about then she can go save rest of the world...

There was this scene where he was doing drunk gyming and he tells her that's why vivaan doesnt love her... I dont want your pity/favour, what goes unsaid is that he was unconsciously asking, be on my side for my sake not because you have a savior impulse but because I am your "bhagyashali ladka". Stay with me till the end not because we have to put KN in jail because your life is empty without me and you have no1 who will fight with you.

And in a way what Vivaan tells Imli, I want the simple life where we think about our own lil family... He wouldnt be able to keep with Chakor's personality to put everyone ahead of her

Whereas Suraj isn't like that, he is strong enough for her to let her be Jagth Matha, putting the world ahead of her and the cost of her own, jumping in only when she asks or she needs to be saved ( more like he has a chance to catch her in his arms) 😆😆

He is also smart enough to keep her heroics in check. he knows she doesn't have any self preservation.

She just has to open her eyes and Suraj will the most loyal, pakundi kameena she ever had.

Unfortunately this ship has most wishy washy characterisation.

Exactly - VJ is so good at everything he does that we are entertained regardless - however I feel it's not needed for CVs to make Suraj less to glorify Chakor. I need to accept Suraj's current characterization and move on...it's just I've seen how smart he is - I struggle with this unnecessary character butchering - its comedic almost! I worry we are going down a path where Suraj will be this bickering little kid who will be mothered by Chakor constantly. I want to see a passionate love story between 2 intellectual equals with ego issues...where they respect each other..not a baby sitter romance ... tho VJ makes even that worth watching. Current story is Chakors brain and Suraj's brawn in saving her etc. Chakors love for Suraj right now is protective - where is the respect for him? What has he done for her to look up to him? Ignore VJs charisma! What does Suraj the man have to offer her - I would like to see more of that - so far she's seen his love for him mom - even that was a weak love - he needed Chakors help to get her stationed at Bhuka's...his supposed love for Imli was flawed - it was too late even if it was true - shows someone who cannot even identify his own feelings...Chakor had to tell him He loved Imli..his growing affection for Chakor and protection of her - is his saving grace at the moment. The Delhi track and bandhua track may bring about more of Suraj growing stronger emotionally - at least I hope it does.
I want to see see Suraj masterminding a plan against Kn successfully - not executing Chakors plan or sacrificing himself for her! I want the old Suraj back - is that too much to ask?

I shudder to think of a future track where Chakor single handedly makes Suraj this upstanding and successful citizen like Vivaan and I'll be forced to jump ship!

Again typing from cafeteria lunch line and afraid to go back and revise in case I lose my post - so forgive any rambling!

it feels as if you wrote the thoughts swirling in my mind. for now i am trying to ignore them but the scenario of Chakor turning Suraj into a model citizen is my worst nightmare.
he really has nothing going for him as of now for Chakor to fall in love with him irrevocably... barring maybe Stockholm syndrome if we take into consideration his past history.

my pet peeve with tele land. they just don't know how to strike balance between yin and yang. for yang to shine and sparkle under the sun; yin gets buried six feet under the earth.
a strong woman needs a strong man in her life to enhance her aura. if his aura is taken away for her to emerge stronger.. then she was never strong enough on her own merit.
suraj NEEDS to go back to his old self barring the 'jerk' part. he needs redemption and tweaking. NOT an entire personality change.

A great love story is between equals. if one is more equal than the other then i for one will opt for other story.

but since i have just started this journey... to think of it been just a week or so i started this race which turned out to be more of a hurdle race than a marathon (pun unintended) and have to ignore the giant size craters on the path... but so far i loved this race.
i want more for sure.
but for now you can call me cautiously optimistic.

but if that old Suraj is gone forever then i may stop this journey. but not going to regret walking this long. because i find dark fascinating and love dark entities.
and Suraj has been one of the meanest dark ones around.
been a pleasure knowing him.

so fingers crossed.
