Smita Bansal and Hiten Paintal
Barely had Smita Bansal and Hiten Paintal started shooting for Kasautii Zindagii Kay on Tuesday, that they had to face an on-the-set kasauti on the first day itself.
Bansal and Paintal have been included in the cast of the Balaji drama to play Nivedita and Anupam. Incidentally, in the early days of this Star Plus daily, Mannish Goyal and Poonam Narula essayed these characters.
After they had begun shooting, Bansal and Paintal realised that a few weeks or maybe months down the line, they would have a grown-up son — something that they could not digest.
Apparently, they were unaware about the 'son rise' in their screeen lives when they gave their nod for the show. As a result, both had several anxious moments on day one: Should they play parents to a grown-up son?
Says Bansal, "I had shot for Kasautii as Nivedita. There were certain questions about the introduction of Nivedita and Anupam's son. Though things were sorted out I preferred to opt out. I didn't want to play mother to a grown-up child."
Adds Paintal, "Everything has been amicably settled. I am very much part of Kasautii. It was hardly an issue; we just discussed it and everyone involved was extremely co-operative."
Bansal earlier featured in the SAB daily Twinkle Beauty Parlour, while Paintal was seen in Ek Ladki Anjaani Si on Sony.
