Where there's a will, there's a way, especially when it comes to casting hot commodity Betty White! When E! asked cast members from the Twlight saga at the Eclipse premiere if they would like to see White appear in the final installment, Breaking Dawn, they all enthusiastically got on board, and came up with some clever casting stunts!
While Elizabeth Reaser asked the valid question of, "Is there a part for her?" it seemed Team Betty had plenty of answers. Robert Pattinson thought he should play...her dad? Pattinson, 24, told E!, "She can be the baby," referring to the daughter named Renesmee his character Edward and Bella (played by Kristen Stewart) have in Breaking Dawn.
Kellan Lutz had the same idea, saying, "I love Betty. I would love for them to do what they did in Benjamin Button with her and she can be Renesmee." Julia Jones had just the opposite idea as for how to cast the 88-year-old icon, suggesting she play Bella's "great-great-grandmother in a flashback scene."
Even the Twilight saga's scribe Stephenie Meyer thinks there's a place for Betty White in the final films. "We have so many vampires in Breaking Dawn, surely she can fit in somewhere," Meyer said, adding, "Wouldn't it be amazing if she was like just sitting there with a big group of the Volturi? That would be amazing." We love how much the love for Betty is only growing by the day, don't you? !
