First things first! Edward and Bella would always be Rob and Kris for me and for all the Twilight lovers!
Now,
Well, all this hype abt Twilight adaptation! I guess Ekta jus mis-phrased her sentence. By adaptation, I guess she only means picking on a VAMPIRE-HUMAN love story.
Bcoz, an exact impersonation of Bella or Edward is impossible and nor will the charachters be called Ed and Bells.
The Cullen family cannot be present in Ekta's show bcoz evry1 in the family cannot be sweet and approachable in Ekta maiyya's shows.
So there can only be a few similarities like:
1) Vamp-human love story
2) A Jacob Black for sure! (Have we ever had any show whr Ekta maiyya let the guy n girl live in peace? No! Thr always has to be a third person present...lolz 😉)
3) Most probably we can expect the saas-bahu saga going on a paranormal level 😉
Moreover, there are umpteen vampire love stories out there on the net and so none of us need to imagine our Ed and Bells as Ekta's leads.
And, to those who underestimate the Indian actors and Indian producers, I seriously don't agree wid you! We've got plenty of Indian actors who've got the potential to play Ed or Bells.
Since, we Twilight fans are crazy abt Ed and Bells and have seen only Robz and Kris as them, we can't think of anyone else play them but that doesn't mean that they don't even have the potential!
P.S: Ekta maiyya has already experimented wid Vampires a few years ago but that was more towards the horror side wid blood-sucking monsters. I dunno how many of you know this but the vampire was played by Cezanne Khan (The very famous Anurag Basu of Kasauti Zindagi Ki) and the guy really looked hot! The show was Kya hadsaa kya haqeeqat which had diff seasons and this vampire track was one of those.
Personally, I don't want a replica of Ed or Bells in the show but I'd love to watch an Indian guy play a vampire! 😉
So guys, no offense meant to anyone. We shud all understand that thr are many ppl out thr who don't like Twilight and many who also love it, we shud respect evry1's opinions and learn not to take offense after all, Freedom of Speech, thought and expression is what evry1 has a right to! Right? 😊
