well I wudnt say that its the BEST book...or the most EXTRAORDINARY one ... nor is the writing all that great...its superly amateurish...

yet...

there is something abt twilight saga that keeps u hooked onto it..the moment u begin it... in my words, either u LOATHE it a lot...or u LOVE it a lot.. u cannot be intermediate b/w these two.... if u are even a 10% romantic person..u are bound to love it...the story line may be ordiarny or cliche ... but the characters are sooo well sketched and sooo amazing..that u cant help but feel as if they are real...they are ur life! since it is written in first person, u automatically get hooked onto more n more coz u feel as if those things may actually happen to you...

stepehenie meyer may not be a gr8 writer ... but her characters are AMAZING... 👏 PERIOD...

bella is the kinda girl whom every girl can relate to atleast some point of her life... and edward is the guy whom every girl wud lke to hav as her dream man... and thats the magic of the saga...its something wit which u can relate..hence even tho I hav read it a zillion times...everytime I read it again, I still feel the magic I'd felt when I read it for the first time....

the romance described is electrifying...and deeply passionate and emotional...and the way she has described edward's, bella's and jacob's love...is jus BEAUTIFUL ... everytime I am reading a scene wit edward and bella in it..I automatically hav a smile on my face..I dont hav to work towards it..n thats the power of her writing...😳

another thing I dont understand...is WHY do ppl compare it wit Harry Potter ??? are they even in the same league ??? even widout reading twilight I knew Harry Potter is by far the MOST amazing thing written EVER in the area of magic and fiction...and none can beat it !!!!

however, the genre of the twilight saga is different... and those who love it, love it a LOT... those who dont, well they can NEVER ever appreciate it I guess...

I didn't like Twilight that much. I couldn't get past Eclipse, only read up to NM. But the movie was okay.

I don't agree; I'm one of the biggest romantics in the world and I hated the whole Twilight Saga. It has nothing to do with being a romantic. I like reading chaste romance, thank you very much.😉

I completely agree. I love romance novels but I felt it wasn't really about love. I didn't really get the point of the book being called "enjoyable"

Right, I would classify Twilight more as a "fantasy" novel than a romance one. Yes, I know many people will disagree with me, but for me, a true romance novel is one where we see the relationship between two people bud slowly and form into something beautiful and pure: love. For me, what Bella and Edward have for each other isn't love, it's lust, because we did not get to see their relationship form at all. It was just...there.😕 Neither had any friends to confide their feelings in, or any hobbies or something that would separate them for at least hours each day. They could not bear to be separated from each other for even a few hours or even days. That's not love. That's lust. True love is when you can willingly (or unwillingly) be separated from each other for days or weeks apart if necessary, and still feel a strong bond, still be able to do your every day duties and tasks, still be able to function without mental breakdowns (cough, cough...Bella), and know that though you are distances apart, the bond between both is as strong as ever. True love, most importantly, makes us function just like before he/she came into our life, even when we're separated.
If anyone says Twilight Saga is a series about the power of Lust, I'll agree. But I'll never agree that it's a story about True Love. That's disgusting, I'm sorry.

I actually agree...I started to read the Twilight saga after the whole craze began..I dont know how it was in the rest of the world but here in US esp where I live girls were completely nuts over Twilight and everyone were literally fighting and chanting Team Edward/Team Jacob...and I was like what the hell is with this book...so I go and get it..I loved the first one...(Twilight IMO is the best one out of all of them) New Moon was eh..I liked Jacob's character in the beginning and Eclipse I thought was ok(but a bit more on the bad side) because of Bella's character(who I HATE for all eternity🤢) and Jacob because for me he deteriorated...and I still havent finished BD yet..🥱.
anyways I do agree that the books are NOT the best in the world because as a reader I completely hate the 1st person perspective(and Kiterunner is the only book in the world that I liked with 1st person point of view) and Bella's character irritates me to the core(and Kristen contributed to some of it as well) Edward(the character) I love because he is the best in the series followed by Rosalie,Emmett and Alice.
I dont think I can never know why Twilight is popular....but I do know that A whole bunch of people have started to hate it because of the hype..boys I know really hate it(because their girlfriends are busy thinking about Edward/Jacob😆😆....some girls who used to like it hate it now b/c of the hype created by rabid fan girls....and for me..I'm in the middle...I mean its a good passtime read..nothing more...but I dont completely hate it and burn effigies of Edward and Bella or something like that.(mind you I have seen some crazy anti-twilight stuff)
