its not just robert.

even kristen thinks that this book is too inappropriate. she was talking about it in an interview for Etalk.
lots of the actors, ive heard dont like it.could be a rumor tho
I know it hurts lots of people when they hear this stuff, but seriously I don't let it effect me. Im a fan of the book and even though im going to watch the movie and am excited for it, Twilight the book is always going to be number 1 for me. So whatever anyone says about it isnt going to effect my opinion and you all shouldn't let it effectyou.
Nowon the other hand this isn't exactly the best thing to be saying Rob, before your movies releasing 😆

I honestly think that he didnt mean it in the way alot of people are interpreting it. I hate to say this, but Stephanie Meyer isnt that great of a writer (please dont kill me! lol). I read twilight dec 2005, three years ago. That was way before everyone heard of the series and way before the pandemonium. I truly love the series, the characters, the situations- all of it. And when I love a book, I tend to re-read it time and time again. So far, I've read Twilight 12 times (no exaggeration) and once you get over the beauty that is Edward and the amazing storyline, you start to notice the sematics that portray a writer's true skill. Meyer struck gold with Twilight- that was the best book for me in the series.

Rob is not known to be very accepting of the limelight- he tends to shy away from it. Also, he is not the most cordial person. Compare his public answers to someone like Taylor , who always speaks politely. Rob is also pretty honest. Unlike most actors he is not diplomatic, which is why I think he had the guts to really voice how he felt. In the end it is his opinion. As long as this doesnt affect how he acts in the movie (which, from the promos, one can see he does amazing. infact, i think that he does so much better than everyone thought he would) then it shoudlnt matter. I still love Rob regardless of his often bursque and undiplomatic answers (:

"When I read it, I was convinced Stephenie was convinced that she was Bella, and it was like a book that wasn't supposed to be published. It was like reading her sexual fantasy, especially when she said it was based on a dream and it was like, 'Oh I've had this dream about this really sexy guy,' and she just writes this book about it. Like some things about Edward are so specific, I was just convinced, like, 'This woman is mad. She's completely mad and she's in love with her own fictional creation.' And sometimes you would feel uncomfortable reading this thing. It's kind of a sick pleasure in a lot of ways."
NO. You got it alll wrong. Don't you guys see? Every word he said is correct. It wouldn't be wrong of him to have thought of twiligth in such a way because it just isn't right according to the laws of nature. And that's why we love the book, or atleast why I do 😕 I mean can't you all understand the passion in Edward's and Bella's feelings? It's inhuman. It's pain. Like Edward said in Midnight Sun:
A human would have to be on the point of death to feel this pain - a human would not live through it.
I mean Stephenie would probably not mind what he felt about the book. She said herself, this book WAS never meant for publication, it's so private. I don't know what you all see in the book to want to read it without realising the madness to it. Seriously, a vampire and a human... their love affair is on the brink of choas with the flick of her hair, the wind blowing the wrong direction. It's not the kind of love that humans can even concieve.
It's true that it's a sick pleasure. Anything that goes against human nature is sick. How unnatural is their bond? At first when I read Twilight I was like "awww, so cute" and all that. But when I read through the lines and then read the partial draft of Midnight Sun, boy, did things change!!
Edward is a manic depressive. He really is. 😳 I mean so many people see him as the perfect man but he is living in purgatory, he wants to die because of the intense pain he thinks he causes Bella all the time.
Twilight has so much more to it than can bee seen on the surface, and the way that sex and death are juxtaposed in Twilight is just insane... but this insanity is a sexual fantasy. Albeit a twisted and hidden one that people might not want to accept, but fantasy it is...

Look, I don't have a problem if you want to live in some sort of alternative reality but I don't tell you what to do/say/post and I would appreciate it if you would extend the same courtesy.

I agree with you. That's exactly I why I like Robert a lot. Other than the fact that he's got a good head on his shoulders, I adore that Robert took the Katherine Heigl route and stated his opinion on the books. I think he hit the nail on the head, so to speak, with his "sexual fantasy" comment because that is exactly how Twilight reads. This is most prominent in Bella - who lacks any real flaws, thereby, making her a Mary Sue. Anyone who knows anything about Mary Sues knows that they are mere wishfulfillment devices for the author to project their fantasies. Like Bella, Edward too lacks any real flaws which flows in with the wishfulfillment hero scenario.
This is probably a stretch but if Stephenie is really as in love with her characters as she appears to be in the interviews, it would be extremely awkward when they meet. Personally, I'm inclined to believe Robert's taking a potshot at Stephenie for her "The Rob Effect" comment, which was distasteful.

now that I think about it, i agree with you more. Some actors are like that there starightforward. Nothing wrong with it.
In a way, like on the surface this book is private. mostly cause the first book was kinda like Bellas diary. if you think about it. and what diary isnt personal?
