I disagree. We are told that Bella is "pretty". However, we are shown that Bella has practically the whole town falling at her feet. Be it Mike, Eric, Edward, Jacob or the several other people, it's Bella who they want. That is definitely not commonly pretty - rather, it's drop dead gorgeousness.
Well, if that is the case, then why in her previous guys did't go gaga over her?
I am not debating that she is not pretty, ofcourse she IS attractive, and then LATER when she becomes a VAMP THAS when she becomes DROP DEAD GORGOUES super model like
As for ever guy falling on their feet, Forks is a really small town, unlike Phoenix and guys were looking for something new, plus Bella was a prtty girl so they were crushing on her
That isn't even a character flaw. Quintessentially, a character flaw is defined by the three categories of the observer: the author, the other characters and the readers. While we have no idea what Meyer thinks of the pseudo-flaws (since she won't declare, for obvious reasons), the characters never seem to find anything Bella does 'wrong'. Her clingyness - more precisely, her insecurity - isn't ever portrayed as a flaw but rather as an endearing 'quality' which suggests that Meyer views it as romantic rather than a flaw. That tallies the character flaw mark to a 1/3, keeping in mind that not ALL readers feel her insecurity is a flaw. For all intents and purposes, Bella is flawless.
Well, to each to his own then
To me, her clumsiness, her over-reaction seemed like flaws and I really loved that about her
I loved how Stephanie kept her REAL, I can relate to Bella in MANY ways and I am sure a lot of other girls can too. Even when she was confused as to wheter she should make a choice between Edward and Jacob, that SHOWED that she is a confused person and therefore had a hard time deciding. I don't know about your views, but that sure seems like a flaw to me (not being able to decide who you feelings for)
As for Kristen, I find her acting emotionless in the promos (along with Robert's - I'm sorry if it offends anyone but in the promos, the acting is horrendous although I'm hoping the movie changes my mind) and that's the only reason I'm not too fond of her. I'm sure she's an amazing person to know in real life but I don't think she can act. From the few interviews I've watched of her, I've noticed that she is far from being impressed by the books as a whole and appears aloof - something I can respect but don't necessarily agree with.
No arguments here, I was not asking about her acting skills. Even I have yet to watch the movie myself to decide about her acting. I was just talking about her offscreen persona, and in that its each to their own 😊
