Bhelcome B4 Goodbye

Bhelcome to Rathore Mansion. The Muddle House and the Meddler's House.

Bhelcome - is Welcome - you all know where I got this from, right? Yes, from Sukhi bhaiyya!

Muddle - because the people living here are confused, and disorganized.

Meddler - because Pakhi cannot help herself from meddling into other people's affairs!

Yesterday, I wish that the locket which Veer gifted Pakhi held mirrors instead of pictures of herself and the kids!

Why mirrors you ask?

Well, anybody who wants to make a real change should start by looking at the mirror. If Pakhi wants to know whether she should accept her current situation and live in the present with (or for that matter without) Veer then that is the first place to start.

Nobody can provide Pakhi with solutions or give her how to live suggestions. She is an adult and this has to come from within. The choice and decision is hers and hers alone.

Pakhi is turning to Veer for advice. But he (unlike her) does not meddle in other people's affairs. Example, he enabled Rhea to decide and think for herself independently. Pakhi has more than once severely misunderstood Veer and made character accusations. Such behavior exhibits a certain lack of trust.

This has been a blessing for Veer - for it stripped him of all illusions that he had of Pakhi. This is why yesterday - he could confidently give her a gift whereas earlier on he exhibited the trappings of a teenager buying his girl the first gift. He now knows that he is in this marriage solely as a benefactor and nothing more. In fact, he does not want more.

In yesterday episode, Veer insisted that Pakhi is and will always remain Pakhi Anshuman Rathore. Very true.

The Rathores as a bunch are broken, angry, and dysfunctional individuals! (Carefully look at the bold letters - what do they read?)

Broken - because they come from a broken home. Anuja walked out on her kids and never made an attempt to get in touch with them. Later Anshuman - walked out on Pakhi and married another woman. After the woman he married died - he latched on to Tanya and continued to shun Pakhi. In fact, he even wanted to pack away his son Ayaan to boarding school. Now coming to Lavanya. Can anyone be more muddled and dysfunctional than her? It is a wonder that Girish puts up with her. Her kids never see her and she is forever causing others unhappiness!! I suspect Lavanya has never experienced or heard of harmony!

Pakhi has only experienced the dysfunctional Rathores. So, she is expecting the same from Veer and his family. Surprise, surprise!! Veer and his family embrace harmony, inclusiveness, and moral principles. They have their flaws - certainly they are not perfect. But they are functional and they strive towards a common good which goes beyond the boundaries of family. They with their flaws and all - strive to see the good in all.

This is a tectonic shift in living - dysfunctional family versus a functional family.

Finally (IMHO) in yesterday's episode Pakhi got it. Something clicked and she saw Veer and his family for what they are and (hopefully) shed the erroneous misconceptions she had about them.

So, bhelcome Pakhi to the new family dynamic in Rathore Mansion.

Well it looks like it will just be Ayaan and Pakhi who will continue to live at Rathore Mansion.

Anonee, as always, your insights are a pleasure to read.

I really like the way you summarized the Rathore's. As their family is/was the main family within the show, viewers like myself often had the tendency of romanticizing them. Only their good characteristics were focused upon while the bad characteristics were forgotten. But I really like how you raised the point of how messed up and broken the Rathore's really are. Underneath all that success, bravado, and happiness, lay two twisted individuals (Anshuman and Lavanya). Growing up in that huge house with no mother and a possibly distant father really messed the two up. Lavanya managed to get out and get a semi happy life with Girish, but her past demons still haunt her and cause her insecurity (the whole thing with her no longer having a brother or bhabi). Anshuman, on the other hand, became more twisted and broken with the death of his wife. He focused all his energies on the business and was pretty much stunted emotionally. And then came Pakhi, like a breath of fresh air. She brightened the whole house and even brightened the family with her perseverance and optimism. However, as the Rathore's absorbed and began exhibiting some of Pakhi's positive behaviours, she also absorbed and has some of their bad behaviours. She is no longer the same Pakhi. She's been broken (initial separation/ accusations on her character), mended (happy family reunion), and broken again (Anshuman's death). Pakhi is still broken and has gotten much more twisted through her time with the Rathore's. She doesn't know how to be whole again, and kind of doesn't want to be whole again. Pakhi used to be able to let things go, but Anshuman wasn't. And now the same thing is happening with her. She isn't able to let things go (doubting Veer) and still clings to Anshuman.

You're 100% right in that Pakhi has never experienced living in a close knit, family oriented, supportive family. She's only ever experienced the broken Rathore's and in return, she's also been put through a lot of emotional turmoil. I think this family track (or at least I'm hoping) and Veer are the key to her mending again and realizing that there's more to life than just being Anshuman's wife. And in the process, she's learn to let go of some of the negative behaviour's of the Rathore's she absorbed and instead become the positive Pakhi again.

I really wish the show had an extension because I really wanted to see this transformation of Pakhi. I fear its going to be rushed, which sucks.

@lovely lady thank you 😊
Yes the growth of Pakhi would have been the next track had the show been given a 2-3 month extension. That track could also cover Ayaan's mental growth.

Unfotunately that is not to be - so it is left to our imagination!!
