Taming the Shrew - Take 8: Ayaan wins over Rhea
In a curious twist of events - Ayaan wins over Rhea.
I was afraid Anuja would have an apoplectic fit today (of course there is a possibility that she may have one tomorrow 😉). Anuja had brought over Rhea to declare that Veer was unfit as a Dad so that Ayaan's custody would be handed over to Anuja by court order.
In a curious twist - Ayaan and Rhea have now bonded so well that Ayaan cannot stay without Rhea 😃
How would Anuja interpret this?
IMO - Anuja would interpret this as making her case extremely weak. Because - now Rhea will not do anything to harm Aayan. On the other hand, she would want to protect him. So, she will not separate Ayaan from his mom (Pakhi) and by extension his ND (Naya Dad)!
The only solution that Anuja can think of now - is to throw Rhea out of the house. Yes, she has been trying this for some time now. But the reason then was to show that Veer is a bad dad. Now, she has another reason that is to get her out of Ayaan's life. Because no more can she do silly cigarette tricks - or fire tricks. The stakes have risen.
On the other hand, Rhea and Ayaan are one team now. And Ayaan's team is on PakhVeer's side. So by default Rhea is on PakhVeer's team. Complicated? Yes, it is very complicated - I had warned you before in my tug-of-war write-up that this emotional tug-of-war is very complex. We had hoped PakhVeer would win Rhea over - instead it is Ayaan who has softened Rhea.
It makes sense that Rhea should open to Ayaan. He declared her innocence so convincingly that "sab ka mua bandh ho gaya" (every one had to keep quiet and take it). Besides he proclaimed his love for her - and called her his sister.
Ayaan's words went right through Rhea's soul. She, an orphan - had never dreamed to have a brother who would stand up and fight for her. How could she refuse his wishes? How could she walk out of him? This orphan girl has always secretly wanted someone to love her for who she is - and you and I know she had shown her worst to Ayaan. And yet when push came to shove this little pest of a brother - stood up for her. This is one defining moment in Rhea's story or track.
The second defining moment in Rhea's story or track - is Veer telling her that he does not want her (or need her) to pronounce that he is 'a good dad' in court in order to win Ayaan's case. He would do it by some other means. And that Ayaan's safety is far more important to him. Rhea probably never expected - Veer to indicate that he no longer cares about her opinion of him. This probably has affected Rhea more deeply than she lets on. All of her tantrums is to get Veer's attention and now he tells her he wants her out.
This probably gave Rhea a reality check. Until now she believed she could do anything and Veer would tolerate it because he was her father. Veer put up with her bad behavior and in his own quiet way stood up for her and fought those who misunderstood her. Today, however, Veer's body language and attitude convinced her that Veer was losing trust in her and so, rather than stand up for her he opted to get her out of the picture.
What an irony!! Earlier it was Veer who was eager to have Rhea living with him. Rhea of course insulted him saying that she only wants to live with him to make his life miserable. Today when Veer wanted Rhea out and away at a hostel to stop the misery that she was bringing in his life - Rhea wanted to stay and tried to convince Veer that she was not the cause of misery!!!
IMO Anuja has bitten off more than she can chew. Now she has Rhea against her too! Rhea will want to get back at Anuja - there is no doubt about it! And Anuja has created the perfect opportunity - by going through her personal belongings and discovering that Rhea has a boyfriend (or crush on someone). Rhea will use this knowledge of Anuja's to her advantage - I am perfectly willing to wait and watch how the story unfolds 😊
By the way, I am not denying that Pakhi too supported Rhea - but Ayaan-Rhea and Veer-Rhea interactions outdid that of Pakhi-Rhea today.
