Coming to the show, it is surprisingly well scripted, tight and has me hooked. All thanks to the simple refreshing narrative, simple characters and attention to detail. Liking it so far!

Also, the show gets better wid every episode for me...Friday one being the best one so far. I am looking forward to watch the Lavanya-Paakhi relationship growth too. Lavanya, though not pleasant, isn't a typical vamp either. This angle definitely has scope if explored sensibly...considering that the show didnt take an unreasonable dramatic route even after two whole weeks, guess there is no harm in expecting a meaningful track 👍🏼

Of all the characters, i am liking Paakhi and Girish more😆... only wished for a fun element about her which was again taken care of in Friday's dinner scene. Anshuman is quite real, love Iqbal's subtlety in his portrayal. The best thing about TP has to be the very "normal" interactions between the couple...especially from P's side. The show is surely promising...expecting few worthwhile months of breezy entertainment!😃

Ciao!

" Voldemort days"...ha ha ...I like that! Thanks for liking what I write! 😃

As new as it is for me to watch the "normal" interaction between a couple on a desi TV show...I am liking it so far...I agree, they have to show Paakhis fun loving side...even more...which is what I enjoy the most...along with A boys capability to be the center of the fun...😆

Infertility angle is a real one ...in many developed societies ...so it will be a nice to see their take on it...if they handle it with care it needs...

What I like best about the show so far is that any unpleasant surprises or shocks in store are for the heroine of the story, not the hapless viewers. I mean thats basically good story telling. Complications, challenges and problems are to be strewn in the path of the hero n heroine, for an interesting story to develop, but keep in mind to entertain the audience who like to wind up n relax, not feel depressed or disgusted with the events in the show, as seen in most shows these days. So 👍🏼 to the makers for having their heads screwed on straight. And its also great that they have characterized their heroine as a confident n lovely person who have gained our confidence that she can handle with dignity the lot in her life. Same with the hero, whose intentions may not be the best, but still does not come across as harsh or cruel. Every lie of his balanced out with a spontaneous truth from him in the very next scene. Whenever he's mean, he's also shown to be inherently caring. While being manipulative, he is at the same time gentle. There is nothing inhuman about him, he's depicted to be having an internal struggle every time he has to hurt, lie or even disappoint his unwanted wife. I can be on board with a hero like that. Doesn't hurt he's adorable enough without even trying to impress, so that its believable when the heroine seems to be taken in by him.

I look forward to the wonderful and thoughtful comments from everyone on Sushpectives too!!! Thank you for yours, Amrita! 😃

Yes, the is something very dignified about the way the characters are portrayed...There is a civility...you can't miss...Yes, one needs a story...and this one has one too...probably not too different from other stories...but the character sketch is really well done so far...I hope they keep it up...!

Lovely analysis Sush and I love the interesting discussion that happens in this thread.

Coming to the episode, I liked the fact that Pakhi is straightforward, enthusiastic and making efforts spontaneously to make the relationship work. I really liked the dining table scene and her sending mms to Anshuman. It was so natural to see a couple sharing normal relationship.
The way she was teasing Anshuman and enjoying the moment was treat to watch. Aur Anshuman ki halat dekhne layak thi. Iqbal ' s expression was
Spot on.

One small observation that this village girl knows how to use fork and also
Know the table manners. I must say she is well groomed to be part of up class culture.

I disliked Anshuman today for the first time for plotting against Pakhi with
Servants. As its him degrading himself. Ok you want to get rid of her, but atleast be fair. It reflects badly on his oh so loved image only infront of his servants. The way he was glancing at the servants when Pakhi was serving,
Sitting beside him, it was looking like he was asking for help and saying uff ab yeh bhi jhelna hai. Dude have some respect for the relationship as you are part of that dynamics too though forcegully and unintentionally. Tum khudko bhi demean hi kar rahe ho.it was in really poor taste for me
.

Regarding Lavanya, yup she has issues wrt kids. May be thats why she is so bitter at times. But I dont think she will ever like Pakhi as in original novel she is the one who succeeds driving her away from her brother life. Girish is fine and may be future ally but looks spineless infront of L.

Waiting for next week to see how Pakhi fails overconfident Anshuman 's plans.

HI Payal,
Anshuman is trying to get rid of her...and he is trying to do without being upfront with her...that is a fact...He thought he and sister are in the secret...but when he saw maaji was too...he went along...didn't stand up for playing the game fair and square...but then again he was never playing the game fair and square when he gave her less money to start with...There was no image to save...maaji already knew what he was up to...

I agree he is prejudiced...probably no less than his sister is...although he does not have contempt for her...he does not anticipate that she knows stuff...but when he sees she does...he is open to accept it...he does not stick to his original prejudices and tries to prove that she does not know...This is good...says...he has his flaws...but shows very clearly he has the capability to take in new truths...that's why I am not upset with him...

Does that make sense?

Hi Sreeji, Finally you too are on ThP forum. I hope you remember me on the few interactions we had on other forums. One thing I am liking is that the PH is not hyping the show as out of box/never been seen serial. Too much hype with no substance definitely is an disaster as we had already seen on Sony's show. I like the way the PH is keeping things simple and are not making the show preachy at the same time. And more than that I like the way they are showing the communication between Pakhi and Anshuman - one couple where they talk even if Anshuman gives half truths, at least the communications are really good.

Incidentally, if everyone does not already know, the PH that is giving the Diya aur bati show is producing Tumhari Pakhi and they have a nice way of opening many tracks parallel and then nicely wrapping up one by one quite seamlessly. So I do have hopes for a good story from TP plus the actors/actresses are beautiful natural ones too.

I am reading a book right now...that talks about how our mind works...So, if we see half the picture...we fill in the rest with what we think must be there...I am guilty of making this mistake last time ...

DIya and Baati...is the number 1 show and has been I believe for a long time...so they must be doing something right...the setting was just too uninteresting for me to ever got into it..,,I do want to see good clothing ...good.looking people and some cool factor ...😃..I guess I am quite shallow that way...😆

I agree with you Sush, We are made mistakes in assume some inherent goodness for the last show and more so because it had the IPK tagline attached to it. But now the creatives have made it a fulltoo regressive stuff and the hero a sadist. That is not my IPK and I can't tell how much I have cursed the channel for naming that regressive show the name of my favorite show.

Coming to DABH, I really love the way the creatives have woven the story and have kept the interest of the audience alive by throwing different story lines and the main thing is they close all the loops of the story without leaving anything hanging for long. And they put in good social messages too quite subtly without hyping it too much and the characters are very nicely sketched.

I think anshu is only image freak for out sider but at home he is his real version. I guess for him servants are kinda part of family so he is not worried abt his image there as they knw all in and out of him. plus ,aaji had brought him up, knows truth about him. It's practically not possible for him to pretend in his own home.

can I ask favor please? If you have read novel could you please summarized here little extended version as over all concept I know.
