The Florida Effect is one of the earliest, and most powerful, examples of "priming." Priming, in psychological terms, means the use of background factors to put someone in a psychological state that affects their actions without their conscious knowledge. The background factors are usually images or props in the room in which the experiment is conducted. Sometimes the priming takes the form of a story that subjects listen to, or words they hear.
In simple terms... if the mind is primed with a certain thought...a subsequent action makes a connection to the previous thought and makes the subject subconsciously act in a manner that is a response to the priming ...
In other words...her mind was primed with the thoughts of her bridegroom and him coming here to show her a sign...when she saw him after the dance with the sindoor, and when he touched her hand in way the bridegroom did...although many years back but fresh in her memory by the priming thought ...her mind made the subconscious connection...,
