Manish Raisinghani

Transcript of LIVE CHAT with TV actor, Manish Raisinghani at 12 noon on Thursday, March 31, 2005 in Mumbai

Manish Raisinghani
TV actor

"I am an extremely unsatisfied man. I think I have to move on to better things."

Rita > Hi, did you feel the heat from the audience after replacing Ejaz Khan as "Varun" in Kahiin To Hoga (KTH)? He was their favourite. How did you cope with the immense popularity he enjoyed?
Manish Raisinghani > I think I was comfortably accepted by the audience in the first go itself and I got a very positive response from them. I don't think it was a very difficult task.

Sak bhavna > Hey Manish, this is Bhavna. You are just tremendous to look and are giving a fantastic performance in Kahiin To Hoga. So, what do you think about your cast? How are your co-stars? Is your co-star Rajeev co operative?
Manish Raisinghani > Thanks a lot for the compliment. Initially, Rajeev and I didn't share a very good relationship. But now he is more of an older brother. He is very cooperative. And about the rest of the co-stars, it's like a huge family and I am the brat kid of the family who's pampered like crazy!

Archie > Tell me, do TV stars become snooty like big film stars after they attain popularity?
Manish Raisinghani > Well, I can't talk on behalf of everybody. But, at least I am not like that. In fact I have become more humble.

Honey > What is your fitness funda?
Manish Raisinghani > I workout for 45 minutes in a day and eat whatever you want.

Shama > Manish, are you planning to do movies?
Manish Raisinghani > I am not taking up serial offers, as I want to do movies.

Gehta > Manish, Ejaz quit the serial and before him TV industry has (generally) seen replacement of actors so many times. Do you feel the insecurity as a professional?
Manish Raisinghani > I believe whatever happens, happens for the best. And I don't feel any kind of insecurity. The only thing you need to do is be good at your job.

Thegr8_m > I have heard that you were a model in Paris. Is it true?
Manish Raisinghani > I was a model in Europe (Turkey). I modelled there for a year.

Kush > Are you happy being a TV actor or you wanna do films also?
Manish Raisinghani > I am an extremely unsatisfied man. I think I have to move on to better things.

Honey > When is your date of birth?
Manish Raisinghani > 22 of July, 1979

Jugs > Are you marred? Do you have a girl friend?
Manish Raisinghani > I have a girl friend and we will be getting married after four years.

Lili > Why didn't Rajeev and you get along initially? Some cultural differences or professional jealousies?
Manish Raisinghani > Probably because both of us are known for our looks. So we had this kind of a rivalry. But when we got to know each other personally, everything got better (doubts were removed).

Clod > Some time ago there was talk of "Sujal" (Rajeev) quitting the show and then also "Kashish" (Aamna) was rumoured to be not happy with her role and was thinking of quitting. When such things happen, don't they have a demoralising effect on the rest of the time? Please do give an honest answer. Don't you guys feel that next it would be your turn to walk out?
Manish Raisinghani > They had their own personal reasons and I would not like to comment on it. It did affect us, as it would be like one of the family members leaving (the family).

Honey > Who else are there in your (real) family?
Manish Raisinghani > My mom, dad, a younger sister and grandmom.

Jugs > How did you get the role of "Varun" in KTH? Do you know anyone in the television industry?
Manish Raisinghani > Before KTH I was doing a serial named Kahiin Kissi Roz and Kehna Hai Mujhko. So when Ejaz was being replaced I received a call from Ektaa to do the role.

Meena > What made you take part in the Mr. India contest?
Manish Raisinghani > I have always been a misguided missile with a lot of energy and I landed up there and came out with flying colours.

Kali > What's your education? Do you come from a business family?
Manish Raisinghani > I am a mechanical engineer. I come from a service family.

Bhavnasak16 > Have you done any albums? If yes then which one? Who's your favourite actor/actress? If you want to date who would you date?
Manish Raisinghani > None because I have a very possessive girl friend who will kill me. I have done three albums – for Vaishali Sawant, t-series and another one is a Punjabi video, which is yet to release.

Uri > What's it with you guys, haan? You do engineering, MBAs etc and then become actors. Why? Don't you feel that you wasted your education and time?
Manish Raisinghani > I believe you need education to fall back upon wherever you are. And it (education) reflects in your persona.

Dima > Don't you think your chocolate-boy looks may just over shadow your acting abilities and people will cast you just for the looks and not so much for acting skills? Has the thought occurred to you?
Manish Raisinghani > Just for this sake I have been doing some thriller and suspense episodes for Aahat and Raat Hone Ko Hai where it's more of acting than style and looks; those are not even the criteria.

Khushbhu > Were you sure to become a model or TV actor since your child hood? If you were not an actor or a model, which profession would you choose?
Manish Raisinghani > If I was not in this profession, I'd probably be vice president of some company but after five years. As a kid I never thought about acting or modeling. It all started when my seniors dragged me for an inter-collegiate pageant where I won the best male model.

Honey > Manish, your favourite movie?
Manish Raisinghani > Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge is my all time favourite.

Sam > Hey Manish, how do you look at the competition with Rishi? If a situation arrives wherein two of you fight for the same girl what will you do?
Manish Raisinghani > Just smile and the girl will be mine.

Jigs > What in a woman turns you on?
Manish Raisinghani > The way she carries her self. It's not just the looks, it's mainly about the persona.

Binni > Tell us about your girl friend. Is she an actress too? What do you like in her sooo much? Where did you meet her? How long have you two been going steady?
Manish Raisinghani > This March 10th we completed three years (of relationship). She's a model too. She is from Pune and her name is Vilvin. She was my best friend for a year. I met her at a friend's birthday party. What I like about her is - it's just that she is a class apart.

Sam > Manish, in real life will you marry a girl like "Mehak" who was already married earlier?
Manish Raisinghani > If I really loved the woman, her past wouldn't matter.

Sam > Who is your favorite actor and actress?
Manish Raisinghani > Favourite actor - Collin Farrell, Amitabh Bachchan. And among actresses – Catherine Zeta Jones and Rekha.

Kush > I am feeling dam jealous!!!!!!
Manish Raisinghani > About what?

Kush > About your girl friend.
Manish Raisinghani > Please don't be jealous.

Reena > When will you start looking for a corporate job since you want to be a VP of a company. Aren't we going to see you as actor for too long?
Manish Raisinghani > I said if it all I wasn't in this profession I would have ended up as a VP. Since I am here, I'd like to deliver my best and entertain all of you.

Riky > From whom do you face tough competition - Rishi, Sujal or Akshat?
Manish Raisinghani > I think it's Rajeev (Sujal) as his popularity is already sky high and he's got a much better and an adorable character to play.

Sign Off Message > Aim for the moon because if you miss at least you will become a star. Love, Manish

(Interview of Chavi Mittal on 'galaxy of stars' who plays Disha on
Tumhari Disha)

She comes on wearing a black top, her hair in the usual manner as
she has it on the show, and with jeans and heels on. She was looking
pretty as always.

The interviewer tells her ''you like you laugh alot dont you''.
Chavi is smiling alot and laughs and says she cant help it its
compulsive and sometimes it becomes a minor problem onset. Shes
still laughing (this girl cant stop smiling and laughing...loll).
Chavi says that as soon as a serious scene finishes, she starts
bursting out laughing. The producer of Tumhari Disha then speaks on
another tape and she says that Chavi laughs too much but we still
love her on set. Chavi says that in one scene, she and DK and Sanya
are in a scene where Disha has to slap Sanya but she keeps laughing
and then everyone started laughing as Sanya looked at Disha and
couldnt keep her laughter in and DK burst out laughing and then the
director too. The director pleaded with Disha to keep it all in for
the scene and they redid the scene five times..and it was tough cus
the camera was on a crane! Chavi says that the character playing her
father makes her laugh alot too.
Chavi is from Delhi and she has a honours degree in English and a
background in music and singing and she started singing from age
10/11 and she used to do television shows where she sang stuff. But
the directors thought she was quite photogenic and should try
acting. She was on sa-re-ga-ma-pa and she won that show, then she
was on antakshri too but she came last. Chavi then sings a song and
guys..shes not bad! Chavi says she then put singing on a backseat
and went into anchoring shows and acting. She started out in Delhi,
where in some shows where she anchored her laughter took over the
show and everyone got alittle frustrated and went off for tea and
cigarettes and then came back. Chavi then moved to Mumbai and
applied for everything in television, any anchor shows, presenting,
any acting roles!..she was shortlisted for everything she applied
for. She had 3 or 4 serials in the bag and she says her boyfriend
helped her choose 'Tumhari Disha'.
She was chosen to do a telefilm. Then a close friend of Chavi's
called ''Mohit Hussein'' speaks and says that he first saw some
photos of her when he was auditioning for his telefilm and he chose
not to cast her. But then eventually she did get cast and they
became close friends. Chavi later reveals that he is her boyfriend.
Infact during the shooting of the telefilm in Goa and Delhi, he told
her he loves her and she soon felt the same way and she
said ''things started happening''. When Disha came to Mumbai she had
a choice from 3 or 4 serials but tumhari Disha was the only one
where she was the central character so Mohit told her to choose it
because it would be better for her popularity. Chavi says she likes
to keep busy! no matter what she is doing, whether its acting or
anchoring or something, but she likes to be independent. She
currently lives in Mumbai sharing a place with a friend. She is
asked if shes marrying her boyfriend and she says shes not thinking
about marriage as its too early.
She is asked what is the most romantic thing thats happened to her.
She says when her boyfriend proposed to her. She invited him for
dinner at her place and he started tying a thread to her finger and
telling her all these things like he loves her and stuff. Then the
thread was long and he slid a ring down it to her finger. Later he
told her that he copied the idea from a movie! I think she said No
to the proposal (though she never said that..i got the feeling)
Her b/f speaks again and says that he likes her because she is a
great person, shes nice and sweet and she looks traditional and yet
is modern. Chavi says that hes saying that because shes very
broadminded. Chavi's producer speaks and says she is a disiplined
lady because once she was very sick on the set (when she had to
break it off with Inder) and she pulled off the scene without a
hitch and later the producer found out she was sick and spent the
day after in bed (on her day off)..the producer thought she was
incredibly professional! The producer also says that she is follows
her job without making trouble like thinking a scene is stupid,
instead she just does as shes supposed to with minimal fuss. The
producer thinks she is a great actress for the show and has a bright
future! Chavi says that sometimes she does tell the director she
thinks a scene should be changed but mostly she ok and shes very
polite even when she does wants change. She says shes a friendly
person.
When asked if she cooks, she says she does but she doesnt really get
time and she cooks on her days off. But she says she loves to eat!!
She starts passionately talking about the food served on set during
evenings i.e. pau bauji, somasas..Chavi says she loves to eat. The
producer speaks and says that she loveesss to eat even when ppl
start telling her that she'll get too fat for the show. She said she
fed her boyfriend dal once.
She is asked if her parents know about her boyfriend, esp as theres
a religious clash. She says her parents dont actually know. She says
her mother knows alittle and she'l ease it to her dad. The
interviewer says that after this show is aired they will know so she
better tell them before that!! Chavi laughs (shes been doing this
throughout the show!). Chavi's boyfriend comes onscreen again and
says that he wouldnt say this to her face but she needs to work on
something that only she knows about. The interviewer ask Chavi what
he means. Chavi says that may be its her singing. Chavi says he
sings too but hes too wild. The interviewer asks her future plans
and she says she has none and takes things as they come!

Water mess!

Chavvi Mittal, of Twinkle Beauty Parlour, forgot to turn off her kitchen tap and woke up in a flooded house

Aditi Jayakar Kane

As if the heavy downpour outside wasn't enough, actress Chavvi Mittal also had to deal with water-logging at home, courtesy an oversight on her part. Chavvi who stars in Twinkle Beauty Parlour had invited some of her co-stars to dinner on Sunday night. While the party was a success, the next day turned out to be a real dampener. Chavvi forgot to turn off her kitchen tap that night. The next morning, she and her husband, Mohit Hussain, woke up to see their entire apartment filled with water, albeit only two-inches deep.

"I had called my friends from the industry to my new place in Oshiwara. I shifted here after marriage. We spent a lot of time doing it up. I had invited Dimple Inamdar, Ada, Krutika, Kartika and others. I cooked the food. When they arrived, I showed them around the house and we had a lovely time," she says.

After the guests left, Chavvi dumped the dishes in the kitchen sink. "Since we don't have water supply during the night, I didn't realise that the kitchen tap was turned on."

The couple did not realise that the water had overflowed the sink and had spread throughout the apartment. It was only the next morning, at around 9, that the neighbours rang their doorbell. "When I got out of bed, I stepped right into the water. I was shocked. I woke up Mohit and we were both stunned. We opened the door and there were our neighbours telling us that water was flowing out of our house," she says.

After that the duo had a lot of cleaning to do. "My entire house is carpeted. We have carpets in the kitchen and in the bathroom too! So you can imagine the state of the apartment. My husband and I kept directing the water to the bathroom," says Chavvi. "Our entire day was spent in cleaning the apartment!" she sighs.

Nevertheless, the actress is relieved that her house wasn't too badly damaged. "I had to discard some carpets, but they weren't very expensive. I spent a lot of time ironing and drying the more expensive carpets." She regrets throwing away her favourite carpet, the one in the living room. "It was green and beige in colour and it perfectly matched the colour scheme of my living room," she says.

In fact, this isn't the first time that Chavvi has faced such a predicament. Last July, her neighbours who owned the flat above hers had left their tap on. "The water flooded their apartment and made my ceiling leak!" says Chavvi. Quite a dj vu, we might add.

• When I got out of bed, I stepped right into the water. I was shocked. I woke up Mohit and we were both stunned. We opened the door and there were our neighbours telling us that water was flowing out of our house— Chavvi Mittal

That's the exit door!

Replacement and abstraction of characters make a show newsy but for some serials it has somewhat become a routine affair.

We are talking about Balaji's Kahiin To Hoga, which has a track record of oustering out many actors. It first started with Rajeev Khandelwal aka Sujal's decision to opt out of the show, which saw a major nose-dive in it's TRPs. Later actor Eijaz Khan bowed out due to his Kaavyanjali commitment and was replaced by Manish Sighania. Urvashi Dholakia, who played Archie, was sidelined as her track wasn't required, Surveen Chawla (Charu) was bumped off as it was speculated that her popularity was bothering Aamna Shariff (Kashish). Poonam Joshi who played Mahek chickened out as she bagged a lead in Zee' Tumhari Disha. And the latest loss was the recent murder of Tinnu Anand (Mr. Alhuwalia). Phew! That was quiet a list.

Ab kiska number aayega?

Interview of Poonam Joshi

I always wanted to be an actress' Poonam Joshi

Friday, August 11, 2006 12:48:16 IST
Poonam Joshi, who'd someday like to be a success story on television, talks about her acting preferences, with PREMA K
< name=frm ="return chksubmit()" =site_search/sitesearch1.asp method=post>

:

Why did you quit Kahiin To Hoga?
(Laughs) I've been doing it for over three years and the feeling of saturation had begun to set in. I also felt that there wasn't much for me to do. So I decided to move on.

Was there a problem regarding you quitting the show?
Not at all. It was a very amicable parting. I have no problems with Balaji at all. I'd still take up another serial with them if they have something interesting to offer me. My character, Mehak, was important but it was getting monotonous. My role had stopped giving me satisfaction. So I felt it's best to quit it rather than do a show I didn't want to be a part of. Besides, I was offered Tumhari Disha in which I was to play the lead role. It was a tempting offer I couldn't resist.

What role are you playing in Tumhari Disha?
The serial has taken a leap and I'm playing Kaamna. The show is winding up soon as it hasn't been given an extension. Now I'm looking for fresh projects. Something new will be finalised soon. I'm looking for substantial meaty roles. They don't necessarily have to be lead roles. What's important is that the character has to make a difference to the show.

How does it feel being a Balaji discovery?
It feels great and I'm very happy that I was a part of Kahiin... That was the best thing to have happened to me just after I arrived from Pune. The show gave me a lot of popularity.

Usually, Balaji actors don't go in for outside projects!
I felt I should try something different. Today, I feel that there are several good shows which are being made. My priority is the role not the production house.

You've had a change of husband in Kahiin ...
(Laughs) It didn't really affect my acting because the camaraderie on the sets is very good. I got along with both Eijaz and Manish. Manish and I shared a good chemistry so it wasn't difficult to relate to him. Besides, he's playing my son in Tumhari Disha so it didn't really matter.

How did you get into acting?
I've always wanted to be an actress. Television was really happening then. I'd also done theatre for a while. I was looking out for work. I got a call to audition for Mehak's role and got selected. I've also done a couple of other shows for Balaji. My track in each lasted for 2-3 months.

How about films?
It's not like I don't want to do films but I won't go looking for work in films. I'm more interested in television. I'm more comfortable with this medium.

Do the stories about Bollywood put you off?
Not really, I feel it's all about how you conduct yourself. I guess I'm just plain lazy.

Any other plans?
I'd love to continue acting on television but would also like to try my hand at something else. I've not yet decided what it will be. I want to do different things to see what else I'm capable of.

Your co-star in Kahiin..., Dimple Hirji also happens to be your best friend in real life!
(Laughs) Yeah, we hit it off pretty well on the sets. Although I share a good rapport with all my co-stars, I don't share that kind of friendship with anyone else. Dimple and I have been friends for almost a year. We hang out together, think alike and find many similar things funny. The best part is that I get along very well with her mother too.

Do you miss your family a lot, you keep going to Pune very often?
My parents have shifted to Pune. I go there at the end of the month to meet them. But for most of the time, I regard Mumbai as my home. I've grown up here.

Do you have a boyfriend?
No, I haven't met anyone I'd want to be with. I don't think the concept of Mr. Right exists and so I don't have illusions of Mr. Right. But I'd like someone honest, self-made, decent
looking, and with a good sense of humour.

How would you like to see yourself five years from now?
A success story on television (laughs) and also doing something else besides acting.

Is Manish scared of making love?

One often hears of actors helping one another with a difficult scene and while this helps build a good rapport between the actors, it definitely adds that tinge of authenticity. One such scene that was shot recently was the lovemaking scene in Tumhari Disha, between Manish Raisinghania and Pallavi Shirke, who play Veer and Preetha in the serial. When Manish learnt that Pallavi was nervous for this particular scene, he came up with a plan. He went up to Pallavi and expressed his fear and anxiety for the same. That made Pallavi take charge of the situation in order to make Manish feel comfortable and guided him through the entire shot. Although Pallavi still believes she was the one calling the shots, the cat's out of the bag now for Pallavi!

So, was Manish scared of making love?

Ashish Nayyar booked for drunken driving
By: Ojas Mehta
August 14, 2006

Actor Ashish Nayyar (circled) outside Juhu police station. The police say Nayyar was arrogant and aggressive and refused to surrender his licence
TV actor Ashish Nayyar, who plays DK in Zee's Tumhari Disha, was booked at 1 am early this morning for drunken driving.

Nayyar and three friends had a few drinks at Juhu's Tulip Star hotel and were out on a drive when a constable noticed their Honda City car moving about in a weird fashion.

After a breath analyser test, Nayyar was charged with drunken driving and fined of Rs 4,000.

Tantrums

Sub Inspector Vijay Kadam of Juhu police station said that when the constable asked Nayyar to show his licence, the actor started throwing tantrums and refused to give it. "The constable got the whiff of liquor on his breath and asked Nayyar to take an breath analyser test at the Cooper Hospital. He was very arrogant and aggressive.

However, on the way to the police station, Ashish and his friends apologised," Kadam said. Sources at the Cooper Hospital said that Nayyar created a ruckus and at one stage even grabbed the pen of an official to write down his own medical report.

'Am I a terrorist?'

Ashish Nayyar with Chhavi Hussein in Tumhari Disha
Nayyar, however, said the police behaved in a highhanded manner.

"They were misbehaving with me just because they knew that I was an actor. They refused to even close the door after checking the boot of the car and the passenger seats.

"While the policemen were courteous, one constable wanted to unnecessarily exercise his authority on us," Nayyar told MiD DAY.

"What's wrong with having a few drinks? They treated me like a terrorist," he added.

Wrong driver

Nayyar's friend Joselyn D'Souza claimed that he was driving the car, and that Nayyar was nabbed only because he was an actor. "The police should have charged me instead of Ashish. We even confessed to having a few drinks," he said.

However, Kadam insisted Nayyar was the driver.

Could he be lying? and is this really him? nobody belives that this is actually Ashish.

What members say and think:
Some of the members of India Forums are also suspecting that this is not really Ashish Nayyar from Tumhari Disha but it is just a trick. But can it be? Everybody thinks that Ashish needs to prove that he is the real Ashish but how can he? We'll just have to wait and see. They also say that he keeps saying the same replies over and over again:

What he keeps saying:

Hey guys! How are you? I'm the real Ashish Nayyar

love and god bless

We are just waiting for his proof....

IMP: ALL MEMBERS MUST READ

I KNOW YOU ALL ARE CURIOUS TO KNOW ABOUT ASHISH NAYYAR AND IF HE REALLY IS HIM OR NOT. BUT I DON'T THINK WE SHOULD SPREAD THIS TO MUCH. I'M SURE IT MIGHT BE JUST A TRICK AND WE SHOULD JUST IGNORE IT. WE SHOULD JUST STOP TALKING TO HIM. I KNOW THERE ARE LOTS OF BAD PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT COME ON FORUMS TO TRICK US AND GET INFORMATION ECT. PLEASE TRY TO UNDERSTAND ME. THANK YOU AND I HOPE YOU AGREE WITH ME.

FROM: SHIKHA

Ashish explains everything:

Hi everyone!

I owe all of you an explanation and some clarifications. So here goes! (I'm writing this as a word file first before I cut and post it on IF – so I hope I get it right! This is the first time I'm posting a new topic! )

Firstly, this IS Ashish Nayyar here – the real one! Since some of you tough nuts out here will demand 'proof' I will soon attach some pics of myself on this forum – as soon as I figure out how the hell to do that! Would you guys like some DNA evidence as well?! (Joking!) But seriously, in the light of all that has happened, I will try to get some pics of me with the TD cast on the sets and post it. (Would be very grateful if one of you could tell me how you guys do it so easily all the time!)

Secondly, sorry for all the chaos caused by the Mid-day article. It was something that just came up in a chat with Tushar Joshi (a journalist). I told him that I had read this Mid-day article where a TV actress was receiving weird text messages from a 'fan'. Then I said that I once had a great fan who'd sent emails in my name, etc. And the next thing was that I was being asked to give an account of what happened to me. So it wasn't pre-planned, or timed for some PR, or anything like that.

Thirdly, I want to stress that I am very aware of the support, the regard and the acknowledgement that I receive from all of you at IF. I am extremely touched by it and terribly grateful. I would not like anything to jeopardize this or cause distrust among you guys. You have no idea how it feels for an actor to get such appreciation and feedback from loyal viewers across the world! I still can't believe it most of the time! I love your feedback (both negative and positive!) and even all your funny predictions and scripts! I don't always log on, but just read through some of your posts. When I do get the time, I log on and send some of you some very, very brief PMs.

Fourthly, I considered Disha the best fan any actor could have. I loved her spirit and enthusiasm. If not for her there would never have been a DKFC – and I would never have known all you people. I thought of her as a really good human being – intelligent, funny, friendly and with an amazing memory. Her updates were fabulous and her patience always impressed me. Some of my friends who read her posts actually envied me that Disha called herself a DK fan!

My friends told me about her 'confession' in Bollyteens. I had not read it. I believe she had also written that she had actually told me about it and that I had laughed about it. I'm sorry to say that she never 'confessed' anything to me personally. The thing is that by this time, we were like friends, so I decided to forget about it and not mention it. So we continued corresponding…till the time someone reproduced her Bollyteens 'confession' in IF. And that was the time she stopped corresponding with me. (BTW, in the infamous 'Priyenka interview, I had NOT answered her question about 'my idea of a perfect woman' – Disha/Priyenka must have written the answer herself. I try and avoid getting very personal in most interviews.) It was also around the same time that 'Cyber crimes' were making the news in India. I tried calling and texting her several times, but got no response. So I concluded that she must have gotten scared that I would report her activities to the Cyber Police and that's why she disappeared from the scene.

Beside the entire 'Priyenka Sharma' act, there was the Yahoo email thing. Disha knew my email 'ashishnayyar12@yahoo.co.in' (thanks to Priyenka!). She had sent me a few emails as well – which I still have. One day, she said that she had created a new Yahoo email ID for me 'ashishnayyar122@yahoo.co.in' (she added on another '2') and said that she was sharing with the members of IF. What she didn't do was give me the password, till I insisted on her giving it to me. I checked my mail on this ID and had no time to reply. I repeat, I DID NOT reply to any mail from the '122' ID. But I changed the password. She immediately changed it again and refused to give me the new password and then stopped communicating. I only got to know that she had sent emails in my name because some of you mentioned having received emails from me.

Earlier, on my birthday (March 12), Disha wanted me to chat with everyone on IF. She went ahead and created an ID for me: 'ashishnayyar' and also texted me the password. Since I had had a blast chatting with you guys on my birthday and answering your combined questions, I logged on again a few days later and PMd some of you. But the next time I tried to log on, I found that my password was not getting accepted. There was only one other person who knew my password – so you do the math! If any of you received PMs from 'ashishnayyar' a few weeks after March 12, they were not from me!

So this is why I had to register myself AGAIN on IF as 'ashishnayyar12'. I do log on now and then to check my PMs and if I have the time, I shoot off a short reply. So the PMs you've been receiving recently are from me and not Disha.

In retrospect, I feel there are several things that I did wrong: I did not double check about 'Priyenka Sharma'and I should not have given my email ID to her; I let Disha be my sole contact point with DKFC and IF (the only other person I actually spoke with was Disha's friend who called me when she came to Mumbai – I think her name was Jasmine); I should not have let Disha create all these email and forum IDs on my behalf and I should have immediately talked to her about the Priyenka issue. (Btw, did she really have a kid? When I asked her, she said 'No'.)

So one thing I have to say to all of you is: be careful! Don't be a lallu like me! Don't give away personal information on the Net. Or else everyone starts doubting everyone – and where's there's no trust, there's no fun!

To make up for all the chaos and confusion that I have inadvertently caused, let me give all you TD fans a peak into a future episode of TD that I am currently shooting: Satwik, now in his DK avatar, comes to the Bhonsle house to get Disha back! DK is in a dark grey suit with a blue shirt and Disha looks great in a black business suit with a pink shirt. And guess what – they both hug!! This should come on air some time next week.

Please keep posting your feedback on 'Sweet Satwik' and 'Dangerous DK'! And be kind to me! It's challenging doing a double role. And I'm trying to make Satwik very different from DK. Now the tough part is getting you guys to like Satwik as well! So I'll keep trying – and you keep watching!

Once again, thanks for all your prayers, good wishes and affection. You're an amazing bunch of people and I'm really fortunate that you're on my side!

Take care! God bless! Lots of love!

Ashish

Pracheen joins the Twinkle...gang!

Pracheen Chauhan, who plays Antariksh in Zee's Sinndoor is all set for another daily! The actor will soon be seen in Sab TV's Twinkle Beauty Parlour, which has lately gone in for a major revamp. The actor starts shooting from today (2 August).

"I never got the opportunity to sign a daily!"- Pracheen Chauhan
Shrishti Behl, the producer of the show confirms, "Yes, Pracheen has been zeroed in as one of the leads." She is very kicked about the show and happy the way it has shaped up.

Pracheen who finds it very difficult to juggle between two dailies was reluctant about signing on a new show, but luckily his dates worked out with Twinkle.. "I never got the opportunity to sign a new show, as my dates always clashed. But this time it worked out," says Pracheen. About his character on the show, he adds, "I don't have a fair idea as to what my character sketch is. I will soon have a discussion with my directors." Pracheen is paired opposite Chavvi Mittal, who was last seen in Zee's Tumhari Disha.

Twinkle.... has been in news for quite sometime; first for its unusual promotional campaign and later for showing it's actors the exit door. So does Pracheen have any insecurities? "Well, I believe that the relationship between the channel or producer with the actors is always different. I really don't know what happened with the earlier lot on the show. So, I have no insecurities; I am ready for everything!" asserts the actor.

Other than the new show, Pracheen is very happy the way Sinndoor is coming along. "The show is settled now. It has has completed 360 episodes, which is great."

Along with his professional life, his love life is booming too! The actor who is dating Monaaz says, "Both of us are doing great, though marriage is not on the cards as yet!"

Twinkle... as of now has nailed down on Chavvi Mittal, Dimple Innamdar, Sakshi Talwar, Seema and Pracheen. Let's see who else is all game for a risk!
