His character could go either way in that regard but I don't think we need another AS in this story. And THR's new formula seems to be less permanent characters and more rotating new entries to spice up the story. Cause THR is a story driven by its villains.

I think it is sensible to have an alternative AS in the house. After all, she is Kalyani's Grandmother and does acknowledge Kalyani's efforts to maintain stability in their family, she cannot be mean to KalMa all the time... Malhar is, after all, her son-in-law. But Madhav can be. He has almost not attachment to Kalyani and thinks that women are somewhat lesser than men (her job and sasural-mayka drama)

It's like a backup plan actually. When CVs will have nothing to show, Madhav ka bavkwardness hi dikha do.
