Its again a wonderful update deebz!!

This phase of kanak & uma do wonder in medical world by helping poors & brought out cheatings in medical world by kanak govt power is im waiting to see in our show ,hopes they bring like that in future,

Kanak reached home that evening. She was surprised to see Akshay there. There was a distiguished looking couple with him. The whole Rathi family had a look of excitement and awe on their faces!

Kanak stammered a "Hello Sir! " to Akshay. He smiled and asked everyone to excuse them and took her to the courtyard. He took Kanak's hand in his and said "Kanak! I admire you so much! I have developed very strong feelings for you. My parents and I have come to request your hand in marriage. I hope you will consider my proposal! "

Kanak was dumbfounded. Akshay said " I am sorry that this is so sudden. My parents are here for only a day and they insisted that we come here immediately when I confessed to them.

Kanak continued to look shocked Akshay said " You are the kind of life partner that I always wanted. Think of all the good we can do for the society together. We can try to bring about a real positive change in this community and beyond "

Kanak listened to that. Akshay was not wrong. She did admire him professionally as well. But marriage! That too when she truly loved someone else! But who? A married man? " That is a sin Kanak " her conscience told her.

Kanak said " I am really honored Sir but do you know about my past? " Akshay said " I know all about it Kanak and that makes me admire you even more! Your strength and courage are so inspirational. "

Kanak was silent. Akshay said. " Kanak, there is no pressure. Please take your time and give me a response. I will honor any decision you make. It won't impact our professional relationship. "

Kanak nodded dazedly.

After the Sharmas left, Bhabho, Bhabhasa and Ved embraced Kanak warmly. They were all in favor of this proposal

Meanwhile Purab called Uma and told him everything!

Uma stood stricken when heard the news. He had remained Kanaks in his heart and soul. Subconsciously he knew that he had assumed that would be the same for Kanak too but now, there was a possibility that Kanak could get married to someone else! The realization pierced his heart so badly that he felt it like a physical pain. It was sheer agony. He felt sick to his stomach. At the same time, he finally realized what Kanak must have gone through when he had married someone else!

He looked up Akshay again. There was nothing but positive news about him everywhere. He was in every way the most suitable match for Kanak. Uma knew that this would have been the son in law IPS Sandhya Rathi would have liked for her daughter. Kanak could thrive in this relationship really well.

In contrast, what had he done for Kanak! Had married her against her will, put her through a lot due to his stupidity and ultimately had abandoned her mercilessly.

The next day Purab called again. He informed him that Akshay was taking Kanak to dinner at the

Pushkar club, It looked like he was going to try to convince her to marry him...

Kanak and Akshay entered Pushkar club that evening. Heads turned. It was because they looked so good together. Ashay was dapper in twill pants and a sport coat. Kanak was in a lovely lavender spring dress. The waiters fussed around their table. Akshay was polite with them. Kanak admired his humility. But as the evening progressed, she could not shake off images of Uma tending to her at the village.She decided to tell Akshay that she wasnt ready for marriage yet. She was about to open her mouth but was shocked to see Uma entering with Meera. He was holding Meera's hand and she was smiling at him adoringly.

Kanak felt a blow. She saw that he pulled the chair for Meera himself, and sat her down holding her shoulders. She looked very happy and kissed his hand on her shoulder! Kanak felt her heart clenching at that. Uma bent and whispered something in Meera's ears. Then he sat in front of her. Meera put her hand over his on the table and started talking to him. Kanak saw him throw back his head at something and laugh!

Kanak was dejected. She looked at Akshay. How foolish was she to still care about Uma. He had cheated her badly 2 years ago..Had ruined her life while he himself was merrily leading a happy married life! She swallowed her tears. It was time for her to move on. The only way to do that was to perhaps marry another. She had tried immersing herself in work. That hadn't helped.

Uma looked at Kanak surreptiously. He knew the range of emotions that flashed across her face. He knew Kanak better than he knew himself. He felt terrible to be hurting her but after seeing her at the village, he knew that he could not be selfish. She needed someone to love her and take care of her. He was stuck in this realtionship and had no way out.

When they finished dinner, Akshay stood up and held out his hand. He smiled when she placed her hand in his. He asked her for a stroll in the lovely garden outside. She nodded and did not extricate her hand when he held on to it. Akshay's whole face beamed with happiness.

Uma looked at them through the french windows. He felt like his heart had been wrenched out of his body but at the same time, he was relieved for his Kanak. She deserved all the happiness in the world.
