I watched today epi and I liked it. It was ingeniously built up as viewers anger against marriage of Uma and M be transformed in curiosity and understanding. I am not surprised, I've always appreciated cvs of this show for their ability to push audience to the limit of bearable but still keep them hooked to the story. But in previous tracks ugly parts had always a moral, a good meaning or it was a necessary phase of the story so that it develops in a logical direction. And it was always there the beautiful pair of Kanum, one or another has always fight to keep the diya alight and viewers bewitched.
Strangely today I was "manipulated again by cvs. Not that I meant seriously when I said I will quit watching, I am a faithful nature and my love for this show can't be erased over night. But I was very sure something will be missed if Kanum breaks apart. And I was right. It was painful.😭 So painful that I made millions of scenarios in which it's revealed Kanum have never been apart and marriage is an unbelievable trade and tamasha in M's style. This episode manipulated me by giving so high hopes...
Still I try to understand the meaning of this track. I can't find it's role in the story yet. Do u? Help me, please if u do. Why so big sacrifice in/of Kanum's life? I know you squeezed your brains as much as I did. So big sacrifice for two episodes of vulnerable Uma?😲😲😲
I thought it could have been to delay consummation, after watching few beginnings of Indian tv shows I realized heroes need more then one or even two years to start a normal couple life, no matter how much they love each other. But it's a worthless explanation, the sacrifice is too big and the risk too high. They could be so many other alternatives to trick us! Must be something bigger, I thought.
It could have been to achieve TRP. In our endless debates we often pointed towards this incomprehensible acronym( for me). Maybe makers thought Kangna's fans will couple to the show.
But it was again a HUGE RISK in my opinion. Fans can follow their idol even if he/she marries with ML or not. What about loyal viewers of the show, what about Kanum lovers? Have they ever counted in this equation?
Yes. If this was it's purpose, then we were an important part of the strategy, guys. Not us, but our devotion. Cvs counted on our attachment to the show, to the love story or to the leads of the show. Then, if we are so important, why to disappoint them?
Let's keep watching as the limits of acceptable gently stretched again and we might get a wonderful surprise and reward at the and of the track. Anybody hurt? I hope not. 😃
I might look unsteady with my statements but I'm not. All I've said before was for the good of show, I hoped till last moment that an unwanted turn can be avoid and cvs won't sacrifice the magic. And maybe they didn't. Let's see. Watch and see.
