I do miss blueflames who always bring different perspective to the episode.
I can't stop myself from thinking and I thought of sharing those thoughts with you.
Hope blue you give some points if not the whole analysis.
The episode starts with Meera breaking the fire alarm totally careless of the chaos she is going to create in the mall. There's possibly could be loss of life with the stampede while people running for their lives. The introduction itself clearly showed she don't care about others.
While Meera is going into the mall there are lots of people running out to safety. No one bothered to stop and advise her except our Uma Shankar. This did remind me Mumbai train station stampede during the rain. It's so sad that most people value other human life very less compared to ours. Why not go slowly and carefully so that all of them can go safely. There's a family behind that person who will be hurt or whole their lives will be changed if something happens to them.
Uma know the value of life and he cannot see a life being gone where he can save it.
"There's no better prayer to god than kindness and helpfulness to the needy
By saving Meera's life even though it's a misunderstanding Uma came to much closer to Bholenath rather than going away. A true atheist will know humanity is divinity. Uma's belief in Bholenath or his humanity won't be affected by any one.
He lifts her up and brings to safety and tries to explain to her about the danger. He mentions he need to go somewhere so he can't really drop her off. When Meera speaks, it's a surprise to him.
But he is in hurry to go to his meeting so no more questions been asked except listening to her about tika. It's an interesting point Meera had which also started making me think into much more broader thinking.
According to statistics, countries where more people will blindly believe in god are less to prosper rather than countries with people who believe in themselves. That's why countries like US are top most countries where there are lot of people profoundly in belief that they can change their lives by their own hard work.
"You become the change you want to be-Mathatma Gandhi
I can't fully say Meera is wrong or right but it's an interesting perspective. It's completely every one's personal belief.
Personally I will believe in myself but I also think God will guide us or help us when things get too rough. I thank him for my prosperity but never dependent on him for the same.
It's really sick the way Meera made Uma wait for hours but you know expecting kindness and righteousness from that character is really nave of us. Uma patiently is waiting and when he saw the beautiful red roses, he wanted to talk to Kanak with his new phone. Kanak may not be with him but her thoughts always with him. He is super excited like a kid when he made his first video call to Kanak. Even Kanak's first reaction is one of wonder for Uma and then she realises that her gift became redundant as Uma already bought a phone by himself. She's disappointed but more worried when he starts removing the tilak while talking to her.
Uma waited for hours and not sure why he is waiting even though he started convincing himself and Kanak that Meera would be busy in some other meetings. Then he remembered Meera's words while he talking to Kanak and saw his tilak. I guess he saw a point in there at that time and removed the tilak.
Disappointments are very common in relationships as no two people will think the same and expectations of how we want others to be rather than how they are will always bring storm to any relationship.
Interestingly, Kanak is in love with Uma but not with old Uma or new Uma. No person will remain the same forever. Change is inevitable and part of progression but May not always be better choice.
The whole world is not the same as 100 years go. More than what just in couple of years the technology is bringing the whole new dimensions and changes in the people.
There are lots of good things that's been buried under in this whole road to progression. Sadly we don't even know what we lost and people who know what's lost are only grieve at the loss.
Kanak saw Uma previously and she likes those rare qualities in Uma. By these choices, she does feel insecure and worried that Uma may completely change by losing those rare qualities. In the end he may not like what he became? It's a very common phase for every wife or beloved when their loved ones are changing and being concerned about. We are all sad at Kanak's disappointment but at the same time very appreciative of Uma's quick learning in using the gadgets.
But I am sure no storm can break their relationship and it only make Uma a great guy mixed with tradition and modernism.
