Coming to the discussion, as Blue has written in her analysis post, it was an sweet & simple epi. Where the small KanUm scene had its own charm. I agree, nowadays the cvs are not showing KanUm moments when they are going to get married soon. But the small moments between them are really meaningful & through those Cvs are giving us a prediction about what will happen in the future.
Yesterday's KanUm scene, where the Hens party girls gang sought permission from Uma, initial he didn't agree, but when he saw Kanak pleading from a corner, he agreed. And Masi's facial expression had changed in a second, quite obvious, she isn't liking Uma's *Joru ka gulam* behaviour. (As blue said)
But I believe, Cvs are being smart here. The influence of Kanak will make Uma more confident, more bold in the upcoming tracks. Masi has been the embodiment of perfection, morality for Uma. And when this delusion will break, there will be only Kanak to handle him, to console him. The wound he is going to get from his Masi, this influence only help him there & the cvs have started to create the road towards that by showing this *not-so-romantic-yet-romantic* moments of KanUm.
