Maya this version of Kanum is certainly progressive especially UMA and i enjoyed reading them through ... eagerly waiting for the next updates dear

Hello! Uma is a matchmaker, because as part of the deal with Kanak, he will help Aditya fall in love with her, thank you again for a lovely comment!

Part 9-

Kanak arrived at the hotel, the receptionist had sent Kanak to room 304

Aditya opened the door, inviting Kanak in.
"Hello beautiful "
Kanak blushed as she looked down

"So how come you invited me here"
Aditya stroked Kanak's arm, grabbing her hand he kissed it

Kanak frowned, no tingles, no nothing, so why did she feel that way with Uma?

"I want to get to know you, in every way"
Grabbing her waist he brought her forward, he bent his head to press his lips to hers

Rani ran over to Uma "Uma, Uma"
Uma turned to catch a running Rani
"Aditya, he invited Kanak to the dusk hotel, and she went "

Uma gritted his teeth as he turned swiftly and jumped into his car

Aditya pressed his lips on Kanak's, sloppy and disgusting
Kanak shoved at his shoulders "Aditya i dont want to"

Aditya shoved Kanak over to the bed, climbing on top of her he leant forward as he grabbed her skirt and began to yank it down

Kanak lifted her leg, kneeing him he rolled off her as she ran out of the room

Uma turned the corner as Kanak ran into his arms "Uma, Aditya he he "
She began to sob in his arms, Uma looked up as Aditya ran out of the room stopping

Pushing Kanak behind him he stormed forward, raising his fist he punched Aditya in the face, the crack of Aditya's nose made Kanak gasp

Running forward she grabbed his arm "Uma, no, Uma please stop"

Aditya slid down to the floor with a bloody face as Uma grabbed Kanak's hand and stormed out of the hotel

Part 10-

"Uma, Uma wait, youre walking to fast "
Kanak raised her voice "Uma stop"

Uma stopped, his chest moving fast he turned around to face her, quickly pulling her to him, he held her tightly "I dont know what could have happened if i was late, i would have killed him for ever touching you"

"Im fine now, we dont need to think about that"
Uma sighed heavily as he looked down at Kanak

He was so caring, so sweet, she felt something different with Uma, something she had never felt before

Pulling the car door open for Kanak he watched her get in as he did her belt for her, his hand lingered on hers before he stepped away and went to his side

Kanak turned the radio on as Uma started the car

" oooh i love this song"

Jise zindagi dhoondh rahi hai
Kya ye woh makaam mera hai
Yahaan chain se bas ruk jaaun
Kyun dil ye mujhe kehta hai
Jazbaat naye se mile hain

Kanak struggled to take her eyes off of Uma, the song relatable, Uma sighed as he turned it off
Kanak crossed her arms as she frowned "Why did you turn it off for"

Uma pulled into their street "because Kanak now is not the time"
"I am not getting out of this car until you tell me whats wrong"

Uma got out of the car, walking around to her side he pulled the door open and yanked Kanak out of the car

"You are never careful, always doing things without thinking, you will never change"

Kanak sighed "what do you mean I will never change, you never knew me before these few weeks"

Pushing her against the car "I was the one who found you when you ran away aftee your parents died, they came back for you and tried to take you but I saved you, you were so young but again you took another risk, what if i was late"

Kanak's eyes brimmed with tears as they poured down her face "So why havent you spoken to me in all these years"

Uma sighed pulling back , he walked away as Kanak stood alone crying

Part 11-

It was 2 weeks of Kanak constantly aaking if Uma was home, apparently he was not home

Kanak walked back into her house, full of despair
"Bhaboo can I ask you a question"
Bhaboo set down her knitting and turned to Kanak

"Uma told me that he saved me when I was young from the goons who made Mama and Papa eat the pills, is that true"
Bhaboo held Kanak's hand

"After Sandhya and Suraj passed away, you stopped talking, you ran away after sometime maybe 2 years and the goons tried to kidnap you, Uma found out and saved you, got the goons arrested"
Kanak nodded wiping away a tear

"Why did Uma stop talking to me"
Bhaboo sighed "Vansh thought at such a young age that you two were to close, they had a fight and Uma said he would stay away from you, just as he left you said your first ever sentence in years"

Kanak turned to Bhaboo "what did i say"
"You asked him not to leave you"

"Why didnt he listen"
"Because Vansh wasnt to far off, you two were to close and after Uma had a rubbish relationship with Aditya, he didnt want you to fall out with Vansh"

"But what we had was different"
Bhaboo nodded "Uma didnt want to get to close so he spent his life waiting for you, i cant imagine how he felt when you said you wanted Aditya"

Kanak stood up fast "I need to fix this"
Bhaboo grabbed her arm "You need to make him admit this, just telling him wont make him be near you again"

Kanak smiled as she ran off towards Uma's house

Part 12-

Kanak pushed the ladder against Uma's window, if he wasnt going to come to her, she would get to him

Climbing up the ladder she stopped outside his window, Uma faced the other way, praying

Kanak waited until he was done, as soon as he opened his eyes Kanak knocked loudly on the window

Uma looked toward it shocked but opened the window
"Woah" Kanak screamed as she flew back
Uma grabbed her wrist pulling her back in

"Ah my hero" Kanak smiled as she climbed in the window
"What are you doing here Kanak"

"Theres no time on when we can help eachother"
Uma frowned "So you still want Aditya to fall for you"

Kanak shook her head "No, I want someone else to, but for that I still want your help and you need mine to make sweets"
Uma shook his head "I dont need your help"

"But I need yours Uma, just like before "
Uma went to speak but Kanak put her hand over his mouth "Please Uma"

"Fine, fine, but first tell me who this man is"
Kanak smiled "You will know in due time, ill let you in on one thing though"
Uma raised his eyebrow
"Youll like the ending to"

Uma was confused but nodded "So, what are we doing today"
Kanak pointed outside to the rain "We're going to the shop to buy ingredients come on "

Uma sighed before getting ready

Kanak jumped in the rain , Uma held his umbrella up "Kanak youre going to get ill"

Kanak threw his umbrella , grabbing his hands she spun him around "Oh come on Uma, dont be so boring"

Uma rolled his eyes as Kanak laughed, splashing him with the rain

Losing her footing she slipped as he caught her , grasping his collar she looked into his eyes

Uma blinked as the rain dripped from his hair , Kanak took her chance as she lifted her head and kissed him

Flashes of Aditya's sloppy kiss went through her mind, but as Uma's soft lips pushed against hers, all sane thoughts were lost

Sparks tingled through her body as he brought her closer, pushing her fingers into his hair she pulled him closer, for just this moment she knew exactly what she wanted

All she could feel was his warmth as he tugged her closer, the smell of the rain mixed with everything that was Uma Shankar was intoxicating

Pulling back he looked down at her breathless "Kanak that was a "
Kanak shook her head "It wasn't a mistake Uma"

Pulling away she pulled the car door open and sat in the car
Uma shook his head "No Kanak, not a mistake, it was everything i wanted"

Sighing he walked around to his door and sat in the car

Part 13-

" So, we need cream, sweetened condensed milk , powdered milk and pistachios"
Uma looked very confused "Okay, ill get the cream and pistachios, you get the rest"

Kanak laughed but ran along "Uma, Uma"
Uma walked around the corner "yes Kanak "
"Let's get a horror movie, for after "

Uma shook his head "You dont like horror movies, youll get scared"
Kanak leant closer to him "How do you know that Uma"

Uma gulped "Just a guess"
"Well youll be there to protect me"

Grabbing the dvd, she ran off as Uma followed her to pay

Arriving at Kanak's kitchen, she helped Uma measure out the ingredients "mix the cream and the milks together until its smooth, then put it in the microwave for 6 minutes"

Uma sighed "Kanak if this is this easy, why did we not start with this"
Kanak giggled "maybe I wanted to be difficult "

Turning the microwave off she allowed the mixture to cool down , putting it back in she waited for the timer to stop and took it out

"Okay now stir it to get rid of the lumps "
Uma hissed in pain as the mixture burnt his hand

Kanak grabbed his hand blowing it "cant you be careful "
Pulling him over to the sink she doused it in cold water
"Kanak im fine"

"Shh, let me put this back in"

After it was done she put the pistachios on and waited for it to set

"Now youve made pista barfi" holding out a spoon she watched him try it
He nodded in delight as he licked his lips

"Now you try some"
Kanak shook his head "Im on a diet"
"Why"
Kanak winked "Ill need to fit into wedding clothes eventually"

Uma dropped the spoon "youre getting married"
Kanak nodded "When you propose, wont you invite me to your wedding"

Kanak's heart dropped, depending on his answer, she would know for sure if he felt something for her

Uma smirked "What would I do their if my bride wasnt there of course you're invited"

Kanak was overjoyed as she smiled up at Uma
