See how she is running around the streets after. Agree we will be emotionally worried as viewers. I also agree if he is not angry, his reaction to the same will be very different. He wouldn't have even let Kanak walk. But on same note even if he had slight doubt on Kanak's not being well then he would have insisted her to come with him whether he is angry or not.
You are asking where is Uma while Kanak is dreaming about him. From the starting , Uma is always open with his feelings towards Kanak until the misunderstanding. May be after the misunderstanding and What vansh did to his sister, he may thought Kanak is better off without him as she don't have any strong feelings about him. That could be reason he is also insisting about divorce.
It's hightime Kanak show her feelings towards Uma. Even now we can see Uma is very much affected by Kanak and we know Uma's capacity for self control. Kanak is always impulsive and she don't have much control. So we can clearly able to view her feelings and able to feel for her. Uma's character is laced with self control and it's very less we will be shown his side of things. But at the same time it's clearly shown that he is also not very happy with the ways things turned out. May be future episodes will put more light into Uma's side too.
All of that dreamy lovey Dovey mode of Kanak seems just wasted because cvs forgot to addd Uma in the picture. He is still angry - Bhai aur kitna gussa hoga ye.
Is it some kind of Bollywood logic they are trying to apply that "more one shows interest, more the girl tries to ignore. Ignore the girl and she would come running behind youI love to see his softer side of Uma. But I guess his anger won't go so easily unless it's proved that Kanak is innocent. Kanak is helping out with Aditya would have made small crack in his armour and now I am sure Kanak's love will break all his self control.
In any relation, when one in anger, it will take time to come back to normal specially in new marriages.
They both still need to learn a lot about themselves and also about others. Sometimes we don't us completely. When we faced different situations , the new us will come before us which will make understand ourselves much better. How Kanak is able to understand her love towards Uma now not before proves that there are always something that we don't know about ourselves. It will be same with our life partner. Time and patience is the only one which will deepen this understanding and also make their future like Diya aur Baati. In that we can't say whether girls running behind guy or guy is running behind girl. Because in marriage there will be times when other person will be angry, then you need to be calm and patient. Sometimes coin will turn, you will be angry and other need to take the calm role.
Aditya and Nanda create a scene so that Uma would throw him out of the house for disobeying the rules of the house - but Uma has different plans, he allows Aditya's antics and lifestyle and doesn't expect him to change for the house - hypocrisy level 101 - had it been a girl, would the same leniency be allowed? Uma excuses him for his absurd behavior because he has been through so much. - a trip down the memory lane Kanak was forcefully married, kidnapped and brought home by goons and she was supposed to be the sabhya ghar ki bahu the very next day.. when she wanted change, be it as little as a cup of tea, she was turned down ruthlessly. It does seem hypocrisy that Uma is allowing Aditya in all those things. Believe me, today I hate Aditya so much. He is really competing with his Mom in evilness. But I guess Uma would have imposed these rules on Aditya if he came normally without memory loss etc. That's one of main reasons that Aditya been sent away (to get out of these rules). I don't think it's gender difference that made Uma to be lenient towards Aditya. At the same time, Uma will def will impose those rules once Aditya gets his memory back. Again, now Kanak is enjoying her freedom in clothes. As Kanak is being not a member of family, those rules not being applied to her either.
The main reason for Uma to impose those rules to Kanak is as the main responsible person of the family they both need to lead by example.
The line of the day is the same hand made two different pots... Kanak drew parallels between massi's upbringing of Uma and Aditya... one different and distant than the other as east and west - it's the craft of the artisan and Massi is in hell of a craftswoman. how beautifully, she has moulded Uma, with each crease and line to perfection for her benefit, all the contours in Uma are to keep him in the dark, she ingrained the element of dharm in him so that he stays away from the worldly affairs, affairs that could give him experience... Aditya on the other hand had no mold to be made upto, he was clod of clay and was kept on the wheel of life, the wheel turned and he took shape as he saw fit. Aditya has no restrictions to be of a specific kind, he was just be to himself, and he picked his mother's traits, to deceive and cheat. No words can explain the way I felt when I read this blue.
It's just superb.
Coming to the KanUm part of the episode... Kanak asks Uma to tie the mangalsutra, he looks at her and is silent for a moment. He takes it and she turns - the first time he tied the mangalsutra she had stepped back, she hadn't wanted it, he held her hand and brought her back to her place... today that Kanak was happy to have the mangalsutra being tied by him, she sneaks a look at him and she is happy. - but although being in that moment Uma wasn't given an insight to, he looked absorbed in the task, but the involvement wasn't evident. But atleast he gave in to her please please please... he can do anything to get rid of her at the moment. Agree Kanak is a charmer and Uma need to really work on his self control when she is in this mode.
I am super happy that he listened to her please. It doesn't matter whether he still looked annoyed but we know Uma never shows his feelings so easily. I will assume he is cherishing that moment in his mind as he had very limited time with her.
Kanak drops water on him, while he is walking, he shouts back... she apologizes but does it again and then hides behind the clothes to get a look at him... the naughty bratty Kanak is back... she asks the right question finally, "roothe piya ko manao kaise " it's going to be a behemoth task and she knows it. But still she would because she loves him and to get the love, papad tou belne hi padge ...
May be some suggestions from you blue..
Ps - Kanak looked adorable in the short kurti dress with straight trousers... better than the frocks I think. I though so too. She is looking very nice in that dress.

I saw a quote about Red and thought it will both Kanak and Uma's emotions. Here go
Red is such an interesting color to correlate with emotion, because it's on both ends of the spectrum. On one end you have happiness, falling in love, infatuation with someone, passion, all that. On the other end, you've got obsession, jealousy, danger, fear, anger and frustration.
