13/11 Episode Discussion!!

It was an easy episode after a long time, easy on the eyes and ears. No dramatic effects or dramatic dialogues... it was a good episode after quite a while. Aditya and Nanda create a scene so that Uma would throw him out of the house for disobeying the rules of the house - but Uma has different plans, he allows Aditya's antics and lifestyle and doesn't expect him to change for the house - hypocrisy level 101 - had it been a girl, would the same leniency be allowed? Uma excuses him for his absurd behavior because he has been through so much. - a trip down the memory lane Kanak was forcefully married, kidnapped and brought home by goons and she was supposed to be the sabhya ghar ki bahu the very next day.. when she wanted change, be it as little as a cup of tea, she was turned down ruthlessly.
The line of the day is the same hand made two different pots... Kanak drew parallels between massi's upbringing of Uma and Aditya... one different and distant than the other as east and west - it's the craft of the artisan and Massi is in hell of a craftswoman. how beautifully, she has moulded Uma, with each crease and line to perfection for her benefit, all the contours in Uma are to keep him in the dark, she ingrained the element of dharm in him so that he stays away from the worldly affairs, affairs that could give him experience... Aditya on the other hand had no mold to be made upto, he was clod of clay and was kept on the wheel of life, the wheel turned and he took shape as he saw fit. Aditya has no restrictions to be of a specific kind, he was just be to himself, and he picked his mother's traits, to deceive and cheat.
Aditya's first step towards treatment is a drop of oil falling on his forehead - isn't this similar to the punishment Massi designed for Uma, when he dared see a movie. But that time that drop of water was used to erase memory and today herbal oil was dripped for bring back memories... no matter the purpose but both the guys suffered due to Massi.

Coming to the KanUm part of the episode... Kanak asks Uma to tie the mangalsutra, he looks at her and is silent for a moment. He takes it and she turns - the first time he tied the mangalsutra she had stepped back, she hadn't wanted it, he held her hand and brought her back to her place... today that Kanak was happy to have the mangalsutra being tied by him, she sneaks a look at him and she is happy. - but although being in that moment Uma wasn't given an insight to, he looked absorbed in the task, but the involvement wasn't evident. But atleast he gave in to her please please please... he can do anything to get rid of her at the moment.
Kanak drops water on him, while he is walking, he shouts back... she apologizes but does it again and then hides behind the clothes to get a look at him... the naughty bratty Kanak is back... she asks the right question finally, "roothe piya ko manao kaise " it's going to be a behemoth task and she knows it. But still she would because she loves him and to get the love, papad tou belne hi padge ...

Ps - Kanak looked adorable in the short kurti dress with straight trousers... better than the frocks I think.

Why Uma? I really can't get why Kanak loves the man? Love is not about logic. This guy is so DUMB and even his values are full of double standards. Besides his looks there is little else that is admirable. Gyaanbaba does even follow his own gyaan. Treating marriage as a game and the constant double standards. The only thing he has done is removed Bhabho's blind hatred towards Kanak. Beyond that what has he done for Kanak? Infringe her individuality? taken away her choices? Love My FOOT!

I read your updates and am so disappointed episode after episode. The acting is good, but the ML is Frankenstien. A puppet of Maasi. Worse then Suraj. I thought he was educated...but, he is regressive and foolish.

I really hope it's not my updates that are adding to the disappointment 😳

I made a post in the morning on the same lines - that where is Uma.
Double standards are there for sure the difference between he genders and the responsibility shared - Kanak to play along with Massi is letting go of opportunities to show the hypocrisy of Uma face on... Massi taunts her, teasing her to be provoked but Kanak in playing smart is accepting the hypocrisy.
When would this game end, and some kind of revelation happen. When would the dummy Uma start using his own Brain. Uma's character instead of getting a developed curve, has been slashed, even the screen time is of standing quietly and doing nothing. The strong Uma is nowhere to be seen.
These days he is not even regressive, he is just silent and angry.

Well said about double standards, the whole house has a meltdown when Kanak wanted a cup of tea & today the son of the house drinks vodka, eats meat & cannot keep his pants zipped up. - oh but he is not well!

The oil treatment made me feel better though, did Uma smirk/ smile while he was doing this , I thought he did😊

I really wish Kanak had thrown the whole bucket of cold water over him accidentally .

But you are right , I enjoyed today's episode after a long time. Nice to see a naughty /sassy, confident Kanak for one😊😊

Like seriously Massi and Aditya has even planned to pull down Kanak in their attempt that Kanak would have a melt down and start asking questions on the hypocrisy - but vodka and meat - didn't Uma leave Kanak in middle of nowhere when she tried to intoxicate him and he kicked the man out of the village for he sold meat - where is the no nonsense Uma. There is only Kanak bashing Uma these days.

I really wish that the water scene would have been a bit longer. The way she squeezed the last garment a lot of water fell, I wish Uma had been there and his hot head fire would have been doused. But atleast Kanak knows that it's going to be a task to get her Love 😳

Maasi ruined Uma's life but indirectly she also ruined Adi's life too😕.

Well that's the irony of Massi life, how she failed Uma and his siblings and her own son - she had animosity with toshniwals or whatever that she kept them under a tight leash... but she let her own son roam around like a wild animal... and wild animals are never tamed. He would bite Massi face up if it suits his need.

Thank for reminding me an important point... it might be that I turned blind eye to the regressive content in pursuit of easy episode - he wanted to hit her to make her red - he wants blood, if that's his startup I wonder what limits he would have ... what to say about Massi that they would repay Kanak with the same slap of Uma - these mother son duo know only violence...
