When maasisa said kanak getting married to Uma was hateful, was she actually talking sense, if I recollect Maasisa was the person who took uma marriage proposal to Kanak? Or that the marriage was not her plan as she had all along planned for Pauli as Uma's bride? This was in line with her continued power in the house as Pauli cannot think independently nor had an identity?

Yes the ring was for Palomi !! It was uma's decision to marry Kanak and masi has no option but accept his decision. She thought that by accepting uma's decision she will show that she is happy but she didn't like kanak. At first she thought that she will control kanak, kanak wanted kmb and for that she agreed and listen to her but when masi got to know that kanak did everything for kmb and uma fulfilled her demand even though she cheated she was shocked and even after the insult and arrest uma brings kanak to ladnu which makes her insecured and she started all the planning. There we're certain incidents happened and changed uma's view make her more angry. As far as Palomi, masi knows her and she listens to her so she is actually using Palomi as her pawn but masi doesn't know that Palomi is also using her in some way, she is like a astin ka saap. No matter whatever happens uma will never marry Palomi, no one takes a place of kanak in uma's heart.

I think massi sa didn't think kanak and umas marriage was going to work so she didn't intervene In the beginning. But she didn't realize umas love or Vishwas on shiv gi s sankate for kanak. She probably thought this will take care of itself! But when she saw kanak was back and accomplishing the change in the house she felt threatened now. And I'm sure suman going on Kanak's side or uma defending kanak in front of massi sa didnt fly very well with her. That's when massi sa got aggressive. I don't think massi sa wanted uma to marry anyone including palomi. She would have already done that before kanak even came into the picture. She simply uses palomi for housework and her dirty work.

I don't understand why massi sa vowed to hurt kanak because she jailed Uma when she doesn't even love uma. It's just about her power and control. Or why was massi sa ok with payal marriage when she knows Aditya doesn't accept this marriage.
