@Dear deeps, sorry just have time to answer you & have to think hard for this 😆

I dont understand hindi, so never know what's exactly he said, but allow me to cp from wu "Uma says we should first explain by Dharm, if they go in Adharm path, then power can be used, they know the importance of Dharm, they will come"

What he said sound really cruel, but please notice, did he really use his people power in Payal's case? ... You know, even im feel so scared when he dream burned Kanak on the bed, his imagination very wild ... but in fact he's fair enough to let Kanak win her test, though he already know Kanak's motive, he's too kind (if my brother did the same like him, i'll never stop to called him idiotic)

Fr what i see he often explain to make others understand, use his power will be the last choice for him ... In Payal's case, her parent finally came, so his predict was right ... Then when Payal run away from marriage ceremony, he dont let his people catched her, he came & speak to her

*******

Looked use people to get what they want is such as habit in Toshniwal's fam, we can see how Adythia used the lady fr rathi's fam to cheated Bhabho & even Maasisa firmly order Gabasa to chased Kanak when she run away, but Uma stopped her ... I think Uma try to do different way from his fam habit as he can

About fam rules base on their belief, its not come from him, even he has to face it like we can see how cutest Shiv has to face it too ... Maybe that why he read a lot of book about Dharm, bcz he need the answer why he has to deal with it, maybe he finally understand positif thing from his Dharm & follow it without complaint, it makes Maasisa so proud of him & ask his bro-sis to follow him as role model

When Kanak gives rational reason about woman period, he looks just realized it (i just wonder where has he been for all the time, but realized maybe he didnt notice about this bcz he never cure women 😛 )

He kept silent & let Kanak accept the punishment ... I think he has dilemma at the time, he know Kanak was right, but he never complaint about the rule of his Dharm before & he respect his family more, he didnt want storm come to his family & that time is important day for Shiv, cant we imagine what will happen if he help to support Kanak at that moment?

I cant adapt with all rules in his house too, my husband fam are open minded peoples, the rules of Uma's house looks like a silly thing for them ... But still i give YES for Uma, bcz i believe he has a good heart, this's important thing when we married someone

When he has a good heart, then he can learn to understand love & love can solve every problems & limits between two souls who has different mind, upbringing & beliefs ...

And he loves her mother very much too 😳 (my mom ever said, when you see a man who loves her mother, then he'll loves & understand you)

Then why he doesnt changes? In silent he's changes step by step, he's kind of a rigid & quiet person who live for 30th years in his fam upbringing, and he's not Payal, when someone said something to you, then you changed your mind so easily (thanks God for this one)

Just my op

@mirade_007
do u really think if he has enough patience and uses force only as a last resort to get his way done makes it reasonable?..what if payals family had not come?..he would have send those people to bring her by force..(tht was his intension by that dialigue anyways.)so then his action is justified..because he waited?
well..according to me that is an invation of another human right..
yea he was fair enough to let kanak win test and all..but for a min .consider it was not.kanak and someone like palomi in kanaks place..she woulsnt mind doing the one night stand..and if that happens he would.burn her alive..is that ok?..is it ok.to.kill anybody because they r wrong and characterless..as he said..vaishya?...he is not law..i can understand his anger..but the thoughts are really what makes a man..if he is.thinking about.murder then he is really thinkinh about it..any person would be worried abt such a man..
uma is an extremist..thats the prblm.here..hopefully love for.kanak changes him for better..

well thta my opinion..😛

There you go the writers were successful in projecting a Hindu dharmic person as an extremist. That's exactly what I was trying to explain and seems like they were successful with wrong potraying of dharma.Really disgusted with this

heyy...we have just seen one part.of the plot...it is a fact that be it in any religion there are extremists..wouldnt it be a good story which shows the change in character from extremism to a truly refined and understanding person and that too with the influence of his first love..i would say it is a great love story...when uma and kanak will fully fall in.love with each other..thet both will.make each other to a better person..

Sorry last I checked there weren't any Hindus blasting off bombs or waging wars on every other country Ofcourse if slapping a person or yelling at a person is counted as terrorism then I agree.Good luck to the show trying to convince people that there are terrorists in Hinduism

I voted Maybe:
Compatibility is definitely an issue. And he's way too rigid so no, but if he changes for good, then he;s a good, honest man (very hard to find). So yes. That makes it a maybe xD

NO...never.

I wake up 5 AM , three times a week - for my workout - my choice- not because I am being forced to do it...

Never came downstairs on Sundays before 9 AM !!!

If it was arrange marriage - I may try to adjust and he need to adjust a bit.

In this TSMSP situation - NOT possible...at least until - he realize the crime he did and go jail for it...

Hell no! I'd rather stay single for all of eternity than EVER marry a guy like Uma. So what if his good looking and has a sexy body. There ain't any dearth of attractive specimens out there. I cannot imagine a life with someone who believes a woman should be a sacrificial lamb for her husband. WHY should I change my ways when he can still remain himself with no sense of compromise? Tit for tat, simple. On top of not having garlic and onion in my food (WHICH is the main source of flavour in my food), I would be expected to drink cow piss? I can't even drink my own piss let alone an animals. And just thinking about my day in that household is a nightmare. Waking up at 4am everyday :/ so what happens when I give birth to a baby that keeps me up all night? Am I expected to still wake up at 4am? And being isolated for having my menstruation is a whole new level. I'd be counting my days till menopause hits and would be the only woman happy to have reached that stage in life. FREEDOM!

Pray tell what on earth would I be doing all day? There is no television, no music, no internet. Even if I could read a book - it probably would have to be approved by Uma first. Nah scratch that, i'd only be allowed to read religious scriptures of his choosing. Reading a medical book may be deemed useless for a 'woman' who should only focus on being in the kitchen, touching cow dung, drinking piss, drinking water from my husbands feet, touching my husbands feet for blessings and catering to his needs. The hell you need a non-fiction book for right!? Imagine the punishment I would receive for being caught reading 50 Shades of Grey LMAO.

I can't even sit in idle since I'll be labelled lazy. I can't walk out of the house without an escort. I can't even SNACK ON FOOD because there is an allocated time for you to eat. Even my human right to feed my body is not of my will. Ever heard of boredom eating!? So I guess my only hope of entertainment is listening to Massi talking shit. Listening to Payal having one sided conversations with her husband in the picture frame. Who needs Skype when you can talk to a photo eh? It's cheaper too 😉
I'll be left with Shiv, and trying to prompt my husband to talk about ANYTHING that is not always religiously related. Like, wouldn't it be nice to sit down with your husband and be able to speak about general things like 'aye Uma what's your fav colour?'. Or 'Uma, I also want to get into fitness and have a 6 pack, wanna train me?'. OR 'Uma can you rub my tummy, I have period cramps'.

Nah ah. Nope. Never. Hell no.
