TSMSPJ*ep.67*19.6.17: My Impression*reaping the harvest..
Apart from the farmer gathering crops at harvest time. Unwanted scroungers like the birds of the air too swoop down to partake the fruits of someone else's sweat and toil. The episode shows that all of Kanak's ground work in stirring up Uma's sense of humanity , by grilling him about his version of practising his faith, begins to show results. The devout follower Uma, in his conversation with Palomi, gives a clear indication that he produces the outcome of the seed that Kanak , has sowed in him. That to reflect on his actions in the light of his sacred inspired scriptures. Uma's, shows more awareness of how others ,especially the suppressed ones are likely to experience .
Palomi has her own agenda with Uma. She shamelessly continues to pursue the trust of a married man. Palomi actually conceals her real motives well under the garb of blind gratuitous devotion to Uma as her saviour. It is his magnanimity that raises her from a nobody to be a part of his family. Palomi knows how to handle this man.Firstly she plays the pathetic, devotee seeking his forgiveness for eavesdropping on his and Kanak's married squabble. Next she plays the sycophant before him. Whereas, Kanak savages him by her sharp words Palomi stealthily slides in to smooth his ruffled feathers. It's her tactical well wisher tune that she knows will qualify her for his forgiveness. Palomi is like still waters that run deep..
Palomi knows Kanak by her sharpness has most certainly prepared a breeding ground for her to sow seeds of aspiring for Uma's trust. It's such irony of fate to see that Kanak's rallying, invoking support from Uma for Payal, ends up falling in Palomi's mantle! Uma at last condescends to show sensitivity towards her for her selfless service. Palomi plays her cards well. She probably was on the lookout for the right instance whereby she could bring Uma out to the fountain to exhibit that Payal is happy and well settled in his faith based household. Palomi rather harmlessly and meekly knows when to reap the harvest planted by others.
Kanak is not much of a worry for her..as Uma's wife is actively axing, chopping , and chipping away her relationship with her husband! leaving her to sustain Uma. Uma softening towards Payal , well craftily Palomi shows him ,he needn't. Palomi knows how to hang on to what she sees as her. Living under Uma's roof as his ward.. literally made her plant a crop out of which she expected to reap a rich harvest. Unfortunately for her Uma was and is indifferent to the fact that somewhere, somehow Palomi was, and is planting a harvest of her unrequited love..
The kitchen is a key area of the house hold.A domain that sustains the householders. I agree with Maasi giving a walk and talk over in the kitchen. The area where foods are prepared and cooked, has to be in line with health and safety standards. Maasi shuns the idea of using small kitchen appliances. I suspect passing time is a chore.. hence sauces, condiments are prepared by hand as killing time rather saving it , intention! Kanak does wonder, it's incredible how this lot lie tuck away in their leisurely paced unhurried world! You are .. the food you eat.. Maasi's message about the foods humans consume, as having a bearing on their behaviour and conduct is a worthwhile tip for Kanak! and yes there are rules set in the kitchen too. Kanak realizes that the real taste into the harvest of a completed cuisine comes from how much elbow grease one puts in!
Missing one's family, Sibling love..It's a scene which many newly married young brides come across rather tearfully, when flooded by memories of the paternal home. From the kitchen, Kanak in preparation of her first cooking sample for her new family. Adds much to much sugar when swept away by the countless wild run around sessions! playing chase with her brothers at home. Just like Shiv does! running around with newspaper! with his sisters giving him the chase! Like the chase ended up in her memories. Shiv's chase ends to with his sisters around. Nostalgia hits Kanak all the more when she gets her brothers message via musical song in the newspaper . Floods of uncontrollable tears. Maasi gives Kanak an understand able hug. Once again reminds her, they always wished too meet her family.. Kanak lets this bit pass..
Still in Wait for a good harvest! at the Rathi family, its moaning and whinging about the low responses from matrimonial sites for both thunder and lightning ! namely Golu and Rani. Ved and Vansh are glued to the landline, waiting for Kanak's phone call.. or any response.
Keen as a mustard seed! Kanak is rearing to send her brothers a response. She uses a variety of tricks up her sleeve to keep the whole family occupied so she can slip to the cyber cafe and email Ved and Vansh! But the tall figure of Uma turns up and bans her from leaving alone.. Kanak has to bike it, it's one more with her husband. Once again she gives him lip for not allowing her to leave the house on her own!
Well if Palomi knows Umasa pretty well. Kanak by now too is a fast learner and she knew how to divert Palomi's attention, asks her to prepare a long list of Uma's meds. Uma appears off with her in the house, gives sided her dirty looks. Outside with Kanak , he certainly appears relaxed, only she takes advantages and takes off in a rickshaw! wants to message her brothers ,without Uma pouring over her, trying to figure out why she heads the cyber cafe! I am wondering if Uma is going to ask Payal how she finds settling here? Has Uma been a tad hasty in talking soft with Palomi ? she looked all smug as a Chesire cat after he finishes talking to her or are the cv's trying to set up love triangle? Well it seems, both Uma and Palomi are examples of unrequited love.. currently.. hamlet53 20.6.17
