Hey there all the lovely people.
Apologies for being late today. Traveling somewhere but updating nonetheless.
It's a brief update.
Just as Everyday is a new day, every episode has a new angle to explore. It's the curiosity which keeps the viewers glued to.
The episode starts with US leaving behind Kanak with her challenge to complete the remaining diyas and reach mandir. Kanak is having a hard time making them--as firstly she has never done pottery before and secondly she is angry at US, anger and frustration makes her job all the more difficult...anger clouds actions but Kanak calms herself down and chants her mantra '... yaad rakh Kanak Tu beti hai kis ki' ... she completes her task... for her it's not just a challenge it's a way to put down her raavan, his ideas and for once oppose him.
US is at the mandir, he thinks that he had to be hard today with Kanak. Otherwise she wouldn't have understood, he justified his actions/ views to himself and the audience. He waits for her, and thinks that she won't be able to do the task, he is about to go and help her when Kanak comes there holding the diyas and in a disheveled state of clothes. US is furious at her state, he gives his gyan that sabya ghar ki stree aise kapre aur halat mey nahi ghoomti. Kanak covers herself and dreams that his opinions are so low, he is surrounded by women in his family but he had zero respect for women... his views doesn't matter for she will leave him forever in a few days" --- all good things happen in dreams, and only those who strive achieve it... Kanak decides that it would be useless to have a conversation with him... so she lets it be and hears all her husband has to say. --- the change from furious to meek is interesting -- that she has other things on mind, like finding Arvind -- she lets US off easy and keeps quiet. It's the way of marital life, different times brings in different reactions-- often times they wage a war, sometimes one is angry and other hears quietly, it's easy to say Kanak needed to give him back, but Kanak stays calm and listens. She is doing her role of wife aptly --- but unconsciously. In short they can't fight all the time.
Kanak dodges US, and locates arvind. She wrote him a letter stating her situation since she went to Pushkar and how she got married forcefully and now they are Kerala... she asks him to check the papers and not tell anyone in her family. Arvind vows to help her and gets her address.
US and Kanak lights the diyas in the mandir and explains the significance of this ritual, the husband and wife are like diya and bati, they work in unison to give out light. US is pretty sobered up, but Kanak doesn't give a damn. --- the gyaan on diya and bati was supposed to be knowledgeable, but it looked ineffective... I didn't feel it with the depth required. US is all in the relationship be it to fight, put out his views, explain his stance and declare his love... Kanak is nowhere in there she fights only for her basic rights as a human, as a woman, as a victim maybe.
I for some reason do not remember the precap at all. Please update me 😆
P.S - not every episode need be action packed. There are the subtle little things that weave up a whole story. There is no shortcut in life or the journey of it. So just hang in there enjoy every character as they are served.
