Wow, Ritvik is only 20! I am truly shocked. The kid looks and acts so much more mature for his age. I am just hoping they keep things innocent between the two characters.

I am sure Jannat isn't forced into acting. I remember one of her earlier interviews and she was clearly enjoying the profession, She is actually very lucky to have such great parents who support her in her career while giving a proper life a child should have.

Jannat is less than 17. Online everywhere it says she was born 2002, so apparently she is 15 if she really is born in 2002, so she is either 15 or 16 right now. She's still way too young for this mistress role.

The show is good and all but I still have trouble watching it because of Jannat's age. All these child actors are growing up way too fast. I was shocked to see Siddharth Nigam's role in Chandra Nandini. He too is only 16 and some of the scene made me cringe. Jannat just turned 16 last month or something. It is just really difficult to watch some of the scenes.

I am not looking forward to the time when the show will enter a phase where the two leads will have to marry... knowing indian tv fans will want more romance, and thought alone makes me uncomfortable.

Seeing these kid actors like jannat, siddharth, avneet and all move forward in their careers is nice, especially knowing the amount of dedication they put towards their career... and they are talented, no doubt, and thank god they have good support systems in the form of their family, but at the end of the day it feels like yesterday I was watching all of them be kids onscreen and now they are playing leads who are older and act more mature than their real age... I want to be supportive of these talents because they are professional, passionate and hardworking...

I am looking forward to this new entry... hopefully it will give more screen space to purva and take off the pressure from jannat to perform some intense scenes.

thank you so much for bringing this up. I honestly thought I was the only one.

Even I was shocked seeing the scenes sid was made to enact. Not just that, but jannat's younger brother who played young salim in jodha akbar and played young chandra before sid did some shockingly inappropriate scenes for a boy less than 11 years of age.

Thank you! I am so glad you agree. I feel bad when I critique them for playing such characters because I understand they are working so hard to build up their careers, but I would rather they play characters in serials that are age appropriate. They can still play leads, just in shows that take place in school or college days. And story lines that are more realistic. I did not like how they made siddharth enact someone so abusive... and that too have not one but enact two wedding sequences with two actresses also underage. 😕

Atleast Ahaan here is nicer and his character is much better. His relationship with his mom is very sweet to see... but I still find it so hard to watch pankti's scenes. Which is why I am looking forward to seeing Purva's story.

I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings but at least for me I am just not bothered about Jannat. I only see her as Pankti. Initially I too was uncomfortable so then I thought it would be better if I see her as Pankti Sharma not Jannat . But at the end of the day its their proffessional life and she is a brilliant actress.

I think if the PH has cast her there must be some reason behind this. Cvs toh ainvayi nahi karenge nah. There are too many actrsses who are 19-20 in real age. I think the cvs are more into her innocence rather than her age. She is young and she looks so so innocent, may be that's the reason.

I agree with this. Pankti is supposed to be calm and more mature than her age. And I can see why makers chose Jannat for this role. She is a very good actress. This show is showing some real issues and all the actors are doing their job brilliantly, irrespective of their age.

Yes, except her brilliancy, innocence is another reason I think. She is doing full justice to her character.

very true. she is a very talented professional who has been working her butt off to build up her career. I think my hesitance around her age really has to do with me. I think I am just shocked to see these kids grow up so fast. 😆 making me feel older 😳
No doubt, she is a brilliant actress as are the rest of the lot of actors her age. I just hope they also get noticed by bollywood and get the opportunity to show off their talents in movies as leads too. They truly deserve it.
