Best Acting Award? Then what is a best actor award based on? that is just ridiculous. IIFA wanted to please both Abhi and SRK. They could have just given the best actor award to Abhi b/c I think he deserved it for Guru more than Srk. As for best actress or acting..whatever..neither of the girls deserved it. But whatever, all awards are based on popularity and power so why bother complaining 😕

I don't think Taare was even nominated. In IIFA directors have to send their movie to the IIFA for nominations so even a new or a emmateur movie can also be nominated for IIFA.

Amir Khan did not send his move so there is no nomination for TAare..

😆 😆 What is the point exactly of Best Acting Award and Best Actor Award?I agree with the person who said these categories were created just to make Abhi/SRK and Ash/Kareena... it certainly seems made for that! Ironic to say the least!
And Abhi as style icon? 😆 😆 😆 So he was 'stylish' in Guru? or in Jhoom Barabar Jhoom? doesn't Hrithik Roshan deserve this award fully?? 😛 Oh well, he didn't have a film this year.
I like certain aspects of the Bachchans, but both these awards seem both strange and manipulated...

TZP was not amongst IIFA choices as Aamir refused to allow TZP in nominations 'cause of his not attending award functions. Sad, really. Everyone else's hard work goes down the drain because Aamir didn't want to send the film to IIFA...

shahid deserved to win the award for best actor but srk again.it,s not that i hate srk but he baggs every award other actors had no chance n same with kareena.

It WAS a joke. They made up that award for Gauri just for laughs. I dont know which zee awards you saw.
As for this, isnt a bit TOO convenient that Abhi AND Ash just happen to win, in the one award ceremony that has Amitabh as the brand ambassador. Hmm...doesnt strike me as odd whatsoever.
And Abhi may have acted well in Guru, but what style quotient did he hold? No need to bash the khans in a topic that doesnt relate to them, first try and answer my questions. In your eyes, did Abhi deserve the male style icon?
