It seems like yet another interesting reality series culminated in a star-studded affair. Yes, Dhoom Macha De, India's first reality singing competition which gave established singers a platform to strut their stuff to the people of India, saw the judges nostalgic and almost teary eyed. Rani Mukerji too was present at the event and as special guest crowned the winner of the reality series.
The remaining finalists were comedy-rapper Devang Patel, Richa Sharma and Jaspinder Narula. It was a momentous day for all singers as they were already winners in their own right having reached this stage over others like Kamaal Khan, Sunita Rao and Babul Supriyo...
Devang, being the only male contestant on the show was very nervous about the results.
The contestants performed for judges Sharmila Tagore, Shankar Mahadevan and Prasoon Joshi week after week. But picking the winner wasn't something the judges had too much say in. But India had the biggest say in it thanks to voting, thus declaring Jaspinder Narula the winner of the reality series.
And thus culminated the entertaining first season of the series on NDTV Imagine. It was a huge success and gained quite a following in the last few months. Should this show come back for another season next year? Voting polls open now!
