Bollywood has had a dismal start to 2008 with no major film making a big impact at the box office.
Film Released in 2007 in fact are still continuing to lead figures at the box office. Comedy has definitely been the most successful genre of the year as far as Bollywood is concerned. Despite the release of multi starrer films like RGV ki Aag, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag it was films like Partner, Heyy Babyy, OSO that had filmmakers laughing all the way to the bank.

Releasing on Dcember 21st, five weeks later Anees Bazmi's Welcome is still welcoming audiences at the box office.
Chak De India: Rs 35 cr
Yash Raj Films' only saviour of 2007, CDI was Khan's first release of 2007 and only came in the second half of the year. And although it treaded on an unconventional topic of sports and came without any song and dance, the film crossed 30 crores.
Taare Zameen Par: Rs 32 cr
