@ sareeta, agree there that while we would all love to see scene one, where conversationally he says something not quite agreeable and apologises for that, it is the most unlike thing to happen. but scene 2, is also unlike...i think!
but beyond that and to safer territory...i watched the second half again and like we discussed sareeta, shila's discomfort as ridhima was so superbly enacted that i notice subtleties very time. like the reassuring talk she has with herself...main pehnoonigi, zaroor pehnoongi, all the while, her voice is like that of a child challenged, yet determined, her eyes give away the trepidation on attempting something new. and then the motivation that there's nothing that wouldn't suit her. in fact the whole sequnece was well shot...how many times have we, left at home alone, tried or atleast imagined ourselves in attire that we normally don't wear? be it the first ever dupatta wrapped around us fashioned like a sari when we are all of 5 or trying on the slightly uncharacteristic outfit you'e indulged on and are dying to try on when you are 30?
the episode i felt, belonged to shilpa. she deserves every bit of credit. ironically, the only time she failed to delive was during the preening and i think that is because as shilpa, she failed to think like ridhima, being as comfortble as she is in western attire.
the insecurity about her appearance, wanting to be thin so she could wear short clothes, trying to swallow sprouts, and yet giving in to her normal appetite and tastes the minute she is reassured that she doesn't need to lose weight or change the way she dresses could be chapters out of any young girl's life!
