Absolutely Tinny.

See what they made of KS - In Ramayana, Raja Dasarath had 3 wives and here they made Raja Ram marry twice.

I don't buy it for any reason whatsoever.

Yes Sita did not return to Ram's life, I agree. But Ram never married again. but here, well things are too diabolical.

Sangs/ Tin. its becoming increasingly evident that the Valmiki's Ramayan which all of us are familiar with is not the version that the creatives have read. I think they 've read a ' Bold and Beautiful' sandwiched in the covers of Ramayan. Nothing else explains their wierd twists.

Ekta / BT / Zee keep parroting that Jai-Bani are Ram-Sita and keep reminding us this both onscreen and off screen… but I sincerely want to know which version of Ramayana has:
1. Ram having ONS with his SIL
2. Sita going through half marriages
3. Lav-Khush being killed
4. Ram remarrying
5. Ram's second wife trying to become Sita

Poor Valmiki… He will be devastated if he comes to know what a mockery has been made of his Epic Ramayana….

Sheena,
Maybe cos the actor's real name is Ram!! 😆 Sorry, bad joke!!

Actually, I don't take these mythological references in any TV serial seriously cos I know the creatives just add them in cos every serial is doing it!
I think that if they find even 1 percent of the suffering or situation of the protagonist resembling any mythological character, then they make the reference, never mind if the other 99 percent do not resemble the character!

Jai and Bani are no Ram and Sita, they are just two normal(?!) human beings with the good and bad in their characteristics just like any other person in this world. They make more sense to me this way!

I agree, they are just normal people with abnormal circumstances that no married couple face!

True, very abnormal circumstances faced by Jai and Bani, some due to fate, some Jigs doing and most of all Jai and Bani themselves ask for these circumstances with all their unsual methods in trying to save each other!! 😆

There is no problem in their being normal human beings.

But I wish they had kept the Ramayana analogy away in this 'fresh than dewdrop' track. 😉
