Composer-turned-actor Himesh Reshammiya has pushed the release date of his second movie, Karzzzz, after it was announced that the movie will hit the big screen on October 10.

Reshammiya made his debut in Aap Kaa Suroor - the Real Luv Story last year.

On the new release dates, producer Bhushan Kumar confirmed that they are looking at either October 17 or December 26.

Kumar told Bollywood Hungama: "I've just had a meeting with the Reliance (they have the film's global distribution) over a release date. We will make a decision soon."

According to a source close to Reshammiya, he suggested the dates as he considers them lucky.

Kumar wants to build as much hype around the film as he can and that begins with the promotion of two of the film's songs.

Himesh Reshammiya's second release Karzzzz, which was to arrive on 26th December, is now back to October: 17th October, to be precise. Karzzzz will compete with Fashion and EMI on this date.

Pooja Bhatt has managed to convince the singer to do the scene

Pooja Bhatt has managed to convince Himesh Reshammiya to smooch on screen for Kajra Re. The film produced by T-Series and directed by Pooja stars Pakistani actress Mona Liza opposite Himesh.

According to a source, "The film has a few intimate scenes between Himesh and Mona Liza. While Pooja had tough time trying to get Himesh to perform those, the nasal singer completely refused to do a kissing scene which is supposed to be a very essential part of the script. This particular kissing scene was supposed to be shot during the Jordan schedule that concluded just a few days back. Himesh's argument was that he wouldn't be comfortable doing anything that he cannot sit and watch along with his wife and son. A huge altercation followed between Pooja and Himesh over this matter. Himesh refused to budge from his stand and Pooja had no choice but come back without canning the smooching scene!

MUMBAI: Himesh Reshammiya starrer Karzzzz, directed by Satish Kaushik is all set for release on 17 October 2008. The promos of the film have started airing on all major channels from 15 August onwards.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series, Karzzzz is a remake of Subhash Ghai's 1980 film about reincarnation called Karz.

Director Indra Kumar's daughter Shweta will make her debut with Karzzzz and play the lead role of Tina Munim opposite Himesh Reshammiya who will don Rishi Kapoor's role for the same.

Directed by Satish Kaushik, the film also stars Urmila Matondkar, Gulshan Grover, Danny Denzongpa, Rohini Hatangadi and Raj Babbar.

Big Pictures is releasing the film worldwide.

The Bollywood box office is all set to witness yet another remake. This time it will be Himesh Reshammiya doing a role previously played by Bollywood veteran Rishi Kapoor in the brand new avataar of 'Karz'.

Its was in 1980 that Rishi Kapoor wooed everybody's heart by dancing to the tune of 'Ek haseena thi' and after 28 years Karz still manages to recreate the same magic.

'Karz' is back and this time round Himesh Reshamiya gets reincarnated in the role of Rishi Kapoor.

The remake of 'Karz', will also see Urmilla Matondkar making a comeback to the big screen after a long gap. This time her fans will see her playing the negative role which was Simi Garewal in the original Karz and newcomer Shweta Kumar plays the charming Tina Munim's role.

With the extra z's added to the remake of the original, we wonder whether this numerology will help get Himesh a bigger hit than the original.

This weekend was a special treat for all you die-hard Bollywood buffs. Firstly, there were two big releases Bachna Ae Haseeno and God Tussi Great Ho which hit the marquee and then we at Bollywood Hungama even unveiled the first promos of two of the most keenly anticipated films this year - Karzzzz and Dostana.

While the response to both the promos has been simply outstanding, special mention must be made of the buzz that the Karzzzz promo has managed to generate. The reasons for this are manifold.

1. Love him or hate him but you can't ignore Him-esh Reshammiya. Right from the time, the film was announced at a grand mahurat, expectations began soaring. Karzzzz is the second film of actor/ singer/ music composer Himesh Reshammiya after the super-successful Aap Ka Suroor- the Moviee. What sets apart Himesh from other leading actors, is the fact that he is not just acting but also singing and composing his own songs. While the trend is not much common in Bollywood, many of the top international stars like Michael Jackson, Britney Spears or Eminem have achieved tremendous fame doing the same. If Karzzz hits the bulls-eye, the day is not far when Himesh Reshammiya would be truly be considered as a rock-star belonging to an international league.

2. Karzzzz produced by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series and directed by Satish Kaushik is a remake of the 1980 classic Karz starring Rishi Kapoor, Tina Munim and Simi Garewal. While Himesh plays the lead role this time, newcomer Shweta Kumar gets into Tina Munim's shoes and glam diva Urmila Matondkar plays the role immortalized by Simi Garewal. With HR paired opposite two lovely ladies, expect some sparks to fly on screen.

3. Coming to the promo, the moment one hears the strumming of the guitar, the haunting tune which was originally created by Laxmikant Pyarelal comes to your mind. A much fitter and leaner Himesh Reshammiya is seen on stage as the crowd go into frenzy. What's more, this is the first time the actor is seen without his trademark cap and his hair do surely has all the makings of becoming a style statement in the days to come. Keeping in mood with the re-incarnation theme of the film, the credits read Gulshan Kumar re-presents which give you a taste of things to come. The promo shifts gears as HR is shown serenading the pretty Shweta Kumar and the glamorous Urmila Matondkar. HR's vocals in the Lut Jaoon Main Uss Karz Mein immediately strike a chord, even as the actor is seen doing some heavy-duty action sequences. After some shots of gun firing and cars exploding, the promo comes to a close as Himesh Reshammiya (earlier introduced as Monty in the promo) tells Urmila, " Main Ravi Verma hoon...Kaamini"

The promo has received a thunderous response and unprecedented hits on Bollywood Hungama and going by the looks of it, this one promises to be complete paisa-vasool entertainment for all HR fans.

This movie is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series. T-Series bought the remake rights from Mukta Arts for the original film ' Karz' directed by Subhash Ghai. Subhash Ghai had made this hit film about reincarnation way back in 1980. Himesh Reshammiya has played the lead role, which was done by Rishi Kapoor. Director Indra Kumar's daughter Shweta has made her debut with 'Karzzzz' with the lead role of Tina Munim.
