Goldie Behl's Drona's has lately been the focus of media attention, thanks but no thanks to reports that the film was an answer to the runaway superhero hit Krrish. Now there's yet another controversy the film seems to have landed itself in.
Apparently, a major schedule of the film in Bikaner had to be cancelled recently, in the wake of the Samjhauta Express blast. The director had sought a permission to shoot along the Bikaner-Jaisalmer railway line.
An action scene had to be shot, but to his dismay, Behl's permission was rejected, resulting in the day's work being cancelled. Abhishek Bachchan, who was to fly back from Mumbai, preferred to stay put in Mumbai. Earlier this month, there were reports that the Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) has raised objections to the use of horses in the film in Bikaner without its prior permission. Meanwhile, Shrishti Arya, producer of Drona, refused to comment.
It can be recalled that the unit of Drona has been shooting all over Rajasthan, including the Kuchaman fort. Bachchan, who is said to be playing a superhero, celebrated his birthday in Jaipur while shooting in Bikaner in February .
During the shooting stint, Priyanka Chopra visited the Khwaja Gharib Nawaz dargah in Ajmer to seek blessings.
