There's no beauty for any beholder to behold. But what does 'financial promises' mean here ? If she meant promises made to her it sounds like an allowance. I think it means he promised money to her and/or her family and then reneged on it

But in this article her Dad says the opposite. "We are Kapoors, we have money, we have talent, he is third class, I never wanted my daughter marrying him" etc etc

Anyway, things said during divorce proceedings and child custody are not always 100% or even 50% true. LOT of mudslinging (lawyers are involved)

Did she dodge a bullet though? Abhishek seems like such a nice man, his family might be a little orthodox or traditional, may be even regressive but is it worse than having a pimp of a husband, going by some comments here, I don’t know why Karishma stayed with her abusive husband for so many years but sometimes it’s really difficult to get out of toxic relationships, especially when kids are involved, Karishma’s family ain’t that progressive either, everyone knows about the Kapoors, and reading all those articles about Babita, I won’t be surprised if she pressurised her daughter to stay in that marriage for all the financial benefits. Good that she divorced her husband though. And Aish- Abhi ke case mei we don’t know what’s wrong, taali ek hath se toh nahi bajti.

He had put much of the blame on Babita. That he was made to pay for her expenses too. Karisma never stayed in Delhi for long. She spent most of her time in Mumbai with her mom. Lots of details. He even refuted all the rumours. It was a full fledged interview around the time of his second marriage. Isnt on the internet now so maybe a part of some BW gossip mag.

His reputation also isnt great so dont know how much of that is true

Jaya used to look so sweet when she was young.

I find that honeymoon story unbelievable. How can any woman (including those with far less options, means and support) continue living with such a man and bring children in that marriage. If it happened and Karishma stayed in that marriage for whatever reason for 10 long years, I don't have words to describe that. Not sure what I would feel more, pity or disgust. Right now all I feel is disbelief.

And can't believe people of the forum are comparing that person to Bachchans. The entire family is full of achievers esp Amitabh and Jaya. They might be conservative (and at times unpleasant) but definitely not criminals or abusers. Aish is a self made superstar and whatever worked / did not work in that marriage does not make either party black.
