I think Salam Namaste is still his best movie by far. It's one of the better rom-coms of that era. Still has repeat value.
I loved Bachna Ae Haseeno Too.
Bang Bang, Pathan, and War are just average movies, with special effects being the only cinematic value they bring to the tabe. Masala flicks, yes, but his first movie had soul,humour, romance, and was very sweet.
"Salaam Namaste" and "Bachna Ae Haseeno" have a unique charm that resonates with audiences on a different level, focusing not just on spectacle but also on the emotional core of the stories.
Ironically, the not-so-well-made movies generated loads of revenue and the ones I liked didn't.
