and that reyansh mother and aaradhana step father had a history is somewhat same like the film kabhie kabhie where neetu singh goes to meet her mother Waheeda Rehman and Rishi kapoor following her

and rishi mother rakhee was involved with rishi mother.

Yeah, I got kabhi kabhi vibes too initially but they changed later.

Also, Rey's dad is quite like Shashi Kapoor's character in that movie.

I was thinking the same when I was reading the synopsis in the IF news section that this is the exact Copy Paste of the movie Kabhie Kabhie.(1976)

Where Neetu Singh’s character finds out from her parents that she is not their biological parents. N Character of Simi Grewal and Parikshit Sahani were the doctors n friends / acquaintances of Waheeda Rahman’s character who was the biological mother. (the biological father passed away in plane crash due to war or something n she had her before wedding).

Neetu goes to Nainital/Kasauli/Kashmir I forgot to find her. Rishi’s character follows her there. But Waheeda Rahman and AB ‘s daughter falls in love with RK. It is also found that AB’s character and RK’s mom Rakhi’s character were ex lovers. How their dynamics unfold thats the crux of the storyline.

Here too Aradhna found about her being adopted, her and Reyansh being in love. She goes Dehradun to find her biological mom Rey follows her there. She finds about Mimi who already has her own family. Her daughter Kimi falls in love with Reyansh and now unfolded that Viren and Rey’s mom were ex flames
