Banned in late 2013 when he raised voice for illegal contract which singers were asked to sign, now every thing is in placement but his and salman khan relation affected back in 2014 when Sonu Nigam didnt singed the contract back then for Kick song , salman said what royalty does these singers/musicans are asking for the song get popular due to our faces ,

He sung in PK in 2014, Karan’s films Brothers in 2015, Akshays film toilet in 2017.

Sonu Nigam has told about PK ....it was the time when Sonu was banned t series label....but producer Raju Hirani and Vidhi vinod chopra took the stand that these songs are by Sonu and it will remain Sonu songs and no one else ...T Series had to release it ......with Brothers it was Sony music i guess....many of Sonu Nigam songs were dubbed during 2015/2016 too .....

one of my fav unreleased Sonu song is this one , it could have been a superhit song had it been released great compostion
