Which celeb owned brands are actually good and worth it?

Posted: 4 months ago

Plenty of celebs in India and abroad have launched own brands, books, orgs, clothing line, personal care products, decor, design stuff, handicrafts etc.

What brands and services launched by any celeb are actually good, worth it, have good quality and celeb seemed to have put serious effort on the product/service?

Some are forgotten or closed or non serious. I mean I do not know what happened to Rhea and Sonam Kapoor's fashion brand Rheson now. Their products are not available online anymore.

I am not clear if Anushka's clothing line Nush is still there or Deepika's All about You collection still sells on Myntra or Jabong. I do not know if Salman's hygiene products like Frsh hand sanitiser still sell online or not. He had launched sanitisers and personal care products during lockdown.

I have had cousins who bought Being Human products couple of years ago, and they felt quality was good but products were over priced for middle class pockets.

What are reviews or feedback of design businesses of Twinkle Khanna, Gauri Khan, Maheep, Malaika, Tanya Deol, Neelam, Suzanne, Riddhima Kapoor, Shweta Bachchan etc?

And books written or co written or ghost written by Kareena, PC? Kareena had books on diet and pregnancy, no? I am aware Twinkle's books sold well and columns found success. I am not sure if Shweta Bachchan's books and columns succeeded.

I read Dimple Kapadia's candle business and Waheeda Rahman's cereal brand succeeded in 80s and 90s. Any other examples?

What has been feedback and reception of books by Lisa Ray, Manisha Koirala on surviving cancer? Are they good? Or books by Anupam Kher? Or autobiographies like ones by Amrish Puri and Rishi Kapoor?

What are eateries owned by celebs like? I had heard Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Asha Bhosle, Sunil Shetty had own restaurants. How did they fare? So far I have only heard Asha's restaurant winning awards abroad.

Have these been PR and marketing gimmicks or did celeb ventures in any field (books, YouTube channels, blogs, salons, design business, jewellery etc) indeed succeed or were good quality?

Did Madhuri and her husband's YouTube and Insta channels succeed? Did her dance class app succeed? Is Shilpa Shetty's YouTube channel popular? Her yoga videos are a hit though.

I am curious about non cinems related ventures of celebs, and whether they were indeed worth it or not. (Not asking about their production house or studios).

I have no idea. I have no research. Just wrote names of things I had heard about in news at some point.

Never used celeb brands or services.

Except buying Being Human shirts for brothers several years ago.

Totally no idea of what celeb ventures still exist and what is their quality or service or product like.

Okay 😊

Your post is very interesting...to me, most of these things are completely new info...you seem to have a phenomenal memory to keep all these ventures in mind...

It would not even have crossed my mind to give attention to that except through what some are posting here.

I could imagine that many of the former ventures(except the books) don't exist anymore.

I tried Kay beauty and the products are very good especially their lipstick

I also loved Selena gomez's rare beauty.

Deepika's all about you collection had some really good outfits and Pattens but we're overpriced af.

Sallus fresh sanitizer gave me itching but my friends were fine.

PC's anomaly is garbage, it didn't worked for me but my friend who brought the same products said it worked really well. So may be I was the anomaly lol

Rheshon products looked like overpriced garbage, I knew right off the bat I will never waste my money on it.

I recently brought Deepika's products from costemic brand but haven't tried yet.
