Happy Mothers Day !!!! 🤗
No matter how old I got.. mom is who I went to whenever I was low, needed anything… I remember once I fell sick and she was out of town on a rare trip.. and I just needed her.. wanted her.. and my aunt had come over to check on me and scolded me — dude.. u not longer a kiddo.. u are fine….. 😆… and I am sure all of us can go on and on and on with the stories….

I'm goin' home to meet my mother
I'm goin' home, no more to roam
I am just goin' over Jordan
I am just goin' over home…
I'm goin' home to meet my father
I'm goin' home, no more to roam
I am just goin' over Jordan
I am just goin' over home
I'm goin' home to meet my savior
I'm goin' home, no more to roam
I am just goin' over Jordan
I am just goin' over home

When u live far away from home and parents…… the feeling of going home to meet my Savior is probably a feeling we have all felt (context of song is different but still)……. ❤️

I completely understand what you mean.🥹
Thodi si cute hai
Thodi si karari bhi
Thodi si cool hai
Thodi si purani bhi
Jaise garmi mein thanda sa sharbat
Khatta meetha sa
Jaise sardi mein chaahat ka koyi
Kambal mota sa
Mom by Bonnie Tyler
(can't listen to this song without tearing up. Actually just reading the lyrics will do it for me)
A little baby told God, "I'm kind of scared
Don't know if I want to go down there
From here it looks like a little blue ball
But it's a great big place and I'm so small
Why can't I stay here with you?
Did I make you mad, don't you want me too?"
God said, "Oh child, of course I do
But I've got life all planned for you"
So hush now little baby, don't you cry
There's someone down there waiting whose only goal in life
Is making sure you're always gonna be alright
A loving angel, tender, tough and strong
It's almost time to go and meet your mom
Now you'll never have a better friend
Or a warmer touch to tuck you in
She'll kiss your bruises, your bumps and scrapes
'Cause when you're hurt her heart will break
So hush now little baby, don't you cry
'Cause there's someone down there waiting whose only goal in life
Is making sure you're always gonna be alright
A loving angel, tender, tough and strong
It's almost time to go and meet your mom
And when she's talking to you make sure you listen close
She's gonna teach you everything you'll ever need to know
Like how to mind your manners, to love and laugh and dream
She'll put you on the path that'll bring you home to me
Hush now little baby, don't you cry
There's someone down there waiting whose only goal in life
Is making sure you're always gonna be alright
A loving angel, tender, tough and strong
Come on child, it's time to meet your mom

Unhappiness where's when I was young
And we didn't give a damn
'Cause we were raised
To see life as fun and take it if we can
My mother, my mother
She'd hold me
She'd hold me when I was out there
My father, my father
He liked me, well he liked me
Does anyone care?
Parents are flawed humans, they screw up too...a lot.
Never more evident than in this raw, plaintive lament from John Lennon calling out his own parents' treatment of him. Left under the care of his aunt by his mom to pursue her own ambitions, only for her to return and then be killed in a freak accident. His father was never around either.
