I wonder if Fighter will be Hrithiks (nick-)name or if the title refers to the fighting agents.

Will Deepika resume her role of Rubai (Rubina)? Will she become Hrithik's love interest? Will John have a cameo as agent? Will it be a sequel or a prequel to War/Pathaan?

This is not part of the spy universe.That belongs to YRF.

Lord Sid started his own production company with this film...and why not, he got a dream cast, and would have collected good money from the market..especially after War.

So, would that mean that Hrithik won't play Kabir this time? And Deepika not Rubai?

Kabir and Rubai are from the YRF Spy Universe and have nothing to do with Fighter, which is Sid's first home production

In this one, Hrithik's name is Shamsher Pathania (Patty) and Deepika's name is Meenal (Mini).

The only common factor here is Siddharth Anand as a director.

Why did he name the movie "Fighter" when there is already a south Indian movie with the same name (looking at Google, there are videos about a 2022 Fighter action movie)? A bit confusing, na?

Its a story about Indian Airforce fighter plane pilots thats why.

Hope the music is good, the rest I think Siddharth will pull it off.

Deepika hopefully has better story line than Pathaan.
