Will SRK-Raju Hirani's Dunki break records?

Ranbir is better comic than SRK? Seriously ????

Posted: 1 years ago

If Hirani avoids taking digs at any religion or culture then film will be spared but if he touches any culture or religion he will get backlash as RW already hates him for PK.

Also it depends on whether SRK can fit in Hirani universe. The way Aamir, Ranbir, Arshad and Sanjay did. Hirani focuses more on characters and not the star. Rather he makes actor lose his star image and fit in his characters.

It will be challenge for SRK and Hirani both, to make him fit in Hiraniverse without the baggage that a star like SRK brings.

They should rein in Taapsee though. She is a good actor but her offscreen bindaas attitude and statements get her in trouble.

If all goes well, Dunki can break records. Even if it does not, it will still be hit because Hirani has 100% success record and revived Sanjay's career. He gives hits with anyone so why not SRK?

SRK was the first choice for Munnabhai. He opted out to candy floss stuff with YRF and KJo.

SRK did really varied roles before he was grabbed by YRF and KJo.

He was outstanding in playing boy next door roles and his comic timing is good.

If the story is told in an entertaining way I'm sure it'll be a hit.

SRK is good at playing witty guy roles because he is naturally very witty

I am curious as to how it goes. Rewatch values of Hirani films have gone down with each film. But still even with Sanju, he managed something that was a fun watch, even if you would never watch it again. And SRK doesn't have a great record with more fluid directors, who also tend to be his fans are unable to say no to his suggestions.

I am surprised someone thinks Ranbir has any comic timing at all.

Also Ranbir worked in Sanju which did not require comic timing per se.

Srk’s comic timing is underrated. He was great in Chennai Express, Duplicate, Baadshah and others. The Dunki title announcement video when he said ‘donkey” was quite funny too

He’s better then Aamir and Ranbir in comedy imo

Ranbir does not have comic timing? Seriously?

Yes. I thought he was bad in Ajab prem ki Gajab Kahani. Trying too hard.

He is best only in lost manchild roles or serious roles or confused in love, kind of guy roles. I am not surprised Hirani chose him to play overgrown brat and manchild Sanjay Dutt in Sanju. He is tailor made for such roles only.

Most new actors have no good comic timing.
