Would it have been nominated? I would say the chances were low. It's struggled outside the critics circuit. It was a very competitive year. Decision to Leave and Holy Spider were both much stronger films, with a lot of support and even they couldn't make the top 5.

I’m.m not saying it’s a sure shot win in the foreign category….but it had a good chance to be nominated …and like u said, it was the most likely entry from india to get nominated….if there was ever a shot 

I’m glad they campaigned on their own and atleast got this far ….

The overwhelming whiteness of this list. Take out EEATO and there's just white bread. 

On another note, I'm happy to see Stephanie Hsu nominated. She played a small character Shu Shu in Nora from Queens on Comedy Central Lol. From there to Oscars, what a wild journey 😳
