CBI does not declare homicide or suicide. The forensic surgeon states the manner of death and cause of death, and IIRC, AIIMS surgeon called it suicide.

Prior to independence, police surgeon in Bombay didn't even have to be cross-examined because his word was considered final on how a victim died.

PS: still find it hilarious when the entire movement is dismissively reduced to PR, media and bots. Jaisa meri dentist ne bola tha, pehle se kuchh jhol hota hai uske baadhich lag jaati hai. It was the straw that broke the camel's back. Bollywood will never be the same, and hopefully, for the better.

SSR's death was used by kangana who already had started anti nepotism agenda. Coincidentally even KWK had such clips which showed SSR was looked down upon by nep gang.

Nation was in lockdown so media wanted stuff to show. Politicians wanted something yo feed public to divert their attention from crisis of migrating workers n health infrastructure failure.

Of all the names you mentioned, SSR was the most popular and successful. He was beloved and had many fans. Many people were genuinely shocked and hurt by his death. Many people still do genuinely mourn him. 

Sadly, many folks have hijacked his passing in bad faith. 

Parveen Babi was also significantly popular. and had a huge following. The lack of support she received during her mental health spiral is emblematic of the lack of understanding of mental health and misogyny.
