Ha no, I was referring to this thread (the first thread I responded on here, a couple of people accused me of being an alter-ego of the topic maker, I went back into lurk mode for a while after that 🤣).
I’m not much of a writer but if you start the discussion on this trilogy I will chime in! They were a revelation.
Who accused you & why did you even bother to care?
Just enjoy man, no need to give importance if anyone isn't respecting your opinion.

I didn’t grow up in the social media age so I tend to be uncomfortable with unexpected hostility from strangers sometimes. On the other hand, I enjoy discussing and learning about new books and movies so I guess it’s just a matter of finding a niche… And show biz gossip is my guilty pleasure☺️
It’s all good and you’re absolutely right about not giving importance to disrespect.

Do the honors. I can myself write pages about these 3 masterpieces. Absolute delight in watching these 3.
Go ahead, man. I will join.
I will just say that the plot of Othello made a heck of a lot more sense to me set in rural UP than Venice. And Langda Tyagi’s motives were more believable than Iago’s. Likewise Nimmi’s reasons for egging on Maqbool to kill Abba-ji made way more sense than Lady Macbeth’s blood thirstiness (and the Tabu Irfan khan pairing was just *chef’s kiss*).
Haider’s “hum hain ya hum nahi hain?” was also a completely inspired adaption of Hamlet’s teenage angsty “to be or not to be” speech.
that’s exactly I love Lootera for too! O Henry’s last leaf was beautifully integrated into the story. I always watch it for the last part.Originally posted by: GaramAloo
I loved Lootera! I’m a sucker for unexpected literary shoutouts 😊
English Vinglish looks cool (even though I’ve never been a Sridevi fan).
English Vinglish is not a typical Sridevi movie, it’s about a woman’s journey of self discovery and realising her worth, much like Queen. If you enjoy that kinda movies, you’ll enjoy both Queen and English Vinglish.
Watched 'Chak de India' and 'Dangal', I love sports-based movies and these definitely gave this NRI those patriotic feels I would say I liked SRK and Chak de better of the two. Both came up on several lists so thanks for the rec.
Also watched both 'Queen' and 'English Vinglish' - definitely get why you recommended those together @tinkerbelle88. I liked 'English Vinglish' more, it just seemed more sincere somehow and although I still find Sridevi's voice tinny and weird, she was very good in this and so was the supporting cast.
BettyA1 - before you ask, still haven't watched LSC and RB
I’m glad you liked it. Yes they’re both similar about finding yourself. They’re feel good movies that give hope and lift up your spirits. Also Dear Zindagi And Piku are nice slice of life movies.Originally posted by: GaramAloo

Thanks - I've seen Badhai Do. Is Badhai Ho a different movie or a typo?
RRR... that Naacho song is NUTS (in a good way)! It seemed a little out there when I watched the trailer but the buzz has been very positive so I think I will check it out.
