The role of women in Indian Cinema is a popular topic in Indian literature.

Now I guess the role of men in itv is something which should be analyzed in the present scenario.

Thanks to the majority of female audience in ITV, there are very few shows which are male centric like Aladdin, Alibaba, Jamai Raja etc.

Moreover, the shows which are women centric often portray men to be DUMB, ARROGANT, ILL-MANNERED, RUDE, EGOISTIC so on and so forth when not all men are like that.

Why is that so?

Is the ITV trying to attract the female audience by showing the men as lesser humans?

If yes isn't that method wrong?

Furthermore, in the majority of the ITV shows the men have very less roles, are marginalized and often voiceless.

In an era where we fight for equality, where women are supposed to be equal to men and not better or greater than men

What is ITV trying to do by portraying the men to be lesser beings?

Is the ITV spreading wrong notions of women empowerment and feminism? What do you think?

P.S. I have nothing against women or women characters in itv. I'm a woman myself. Just sharing my thoughts on certain aspects of ITV.
