Why married male actors would get work but female actors would not?

Married male actors the jaise Srk to pahle se hi married tha movie karne se fir bhi he was accepted at King of romance or whatever lekin same is not for female actors 

Why? 

Kya Indian audience accepts ki men will cheat aur women after marriage can't do romantic roles?

It's a recent phenomenon from the 80s or so. Before that many actresses used to work even after marriage and kids. Sharmila, Mala Sinha, Moushumi Chatterjee etc. Usually actresses who started working early in their teens take a break after marriage. Like Nargis, Neetu Singh, Sridevi etc. They are tired and sick of this business which forced them to grow up and be an adult much before they were ready. Being in films and being the main wageearner for family ruined their childhood and teens when they should have been carefree. They don't mind returning to do an important role now and then.

Don’t worry Alia’s career won’t be affected by her pregnancy. As long as she has Papa Johar. I do hope it least gives another talented actress a chance to rise. That is no one from the current lot of nepo kids. Bollywood can be so much more rich in talent if they stop with monopolizing things in the favor of those they have a preference for.
