Professionalism

The forum has many outlets to discuss whether Abhimanyu should've dedicated a department to Akshu or how he should've gone about that decision but I think we're forgetting one area of professionalism they do lack.

They're in a hospital where they have patients. Calling each other "Akshu" and "Abhi" in front of those patients isn't a sign of professionalism.

Abhi starts his "Akshu" jaap in front of the Birlas when discussing the department is proof that he made this decision out of emotional reasoning, not logistics and merit. Whenever he calls her Akshu, he's not seeing her as an individual but seeing her through the lens of their proximity and relationship.

I haven’t watched the recent episodes in full, mostly skipped scenes, so I’m unsure if Akshu makes a similar choice (calling him Abhi etc).

Let's not forget that he was the first one to ask her to reject the job offer because she refused to become his .

Then again asked her to re-join without consulting her even when bade papa was angry.

He seems too controlling and doesn't understand one heck of professionalism.

He openly admitted to akshu when he took her to his cabin that the hospital has become his place to romance and flirt with akshara. He was ready to make out with akshara in his cabin even though i don't think a doctor would do it in his cabin with patients or staff knocking outside.

I don't like Abhimanyu as a character.

If anyone's watched Dil Mil Gaye or Sanjeevni, they'll remember that despite being in romantic relationships with their colleagues, they always addressed each other as Dr. Riddhima or Dr. Armaan. Whenever the gap between personal and professional life was breached, there were consequences including the breaches being shamed. For example, in scenes where Riddhima called Sushank her papa in the hospital, she immediately frowned and lowered her head cause she knew she was crossing a line.

She addresses him As Dr. Abhimanyu Birla whenever she enquires about abhi's whereabouts from others.

Love that for Akshu! I remember her doing the same for Aarohi on the accident episode

Akshara actually does it ..she calls abhimanyu as Dr Abhimanyu and her sister Dr Aarohi whenever thay are in hospital to enquire about them from nurses...or if there is a work related matter..even while accepting the gift of music department akshara thanked abhimanyu as Abhi first but quickly realized her mistake and again thanked him as Dr Abhimanyu..

Abhimanyu is also professional with other people specifically aarohi and harsh..he always addresses aarohi as Dr Aarohi and harsh as sir..he even treats Anand and mahima as his senior doctors in hospital..

BUT..Akshara is the only one with whom abhimanyu crosses his line of professionalism..he calls akshara as akshara ma'am when he talks about her to someone else..like in today's episode abhimanyu asked his intern about akshu and addressed her as akshara ma'am..but he himself doesn't follow it..

Abhimanyu openly shouts his love for akshara and admires her in front of patients..even a child patient knows that abhimanyu loves akshara..so you can see how it is..Abhimanyu is really obsessed with akshara and always crosses his limits when its about her..

Glad I wasn't the onlybone who noticed this when they are in the hospital.

Akshara at least corrected herself at the department inauguration. She started to say Abhi and then said Dr. Abhimanyu.

I was like Abhi needs to address Akshara as Akshara at the hospital. It is a place of work.

And honestly I find it better when Harshad says Akshara instead of Akshu. I know the creatives are doing it on purpose to show how close Abhimanyu and Akshara are and also the fact that her grandmother is Akshara so some way to differentiate between the two characters 🤔 But so far no one has mentioned her maternal grandmother. I don't think viewers would be confused in the show when they say Akshara which one they are talking about.

I actually like him calling her akshu...it sounds special. Akshu Akshu Akshu...his craziness/obsession about her comes across.

I like that he calls her Akshu just cause I think of Hina Khan when I hear Akshara. That's why I loved that Naira never called her daughter Akshara after the naming ceremony, she always say Akshu.

But in a hospital in front of staff, I think he should call her Akshara if not Ms. Goenka because of professionalism. Think about it, if she thanked him as Abhi for the recognition and department, it would seem so much like nepotism (my fiance gifted me the department) causes it's waving their personal relationship over everyone. By calling him Dr. Abhimanyu, she is reminding everyone they're at the workplace (my boss granted me a department after my efforts).

Yes I agree, Akshara at the workplace is more appropriate. More professional! Guess it's a lesson for abhi..to keep work life balance 😂
