Mandar’s backstory: loopholes and unanswered questions

I just got curious after Mandar’s half confession to Pallavi and with few unanswered questions of my own.. so I am trying to solve the enigma that Mandar deshmukh is…

so what we know so far about him…

short version-

he is 30 years old.. had an oppressive childhood courtesy to VD …he became enamored with Pallavi at some point.. stalked her, beaten every guy who tried to be around her… got his marriage fixed to Pallavi … they had normal courtship (over video calls and chats) … at some point Devyani got to know about his stalking rendezvous and tried to warn pallavi and got herself killed..

now since in show they did not elaborate let me try and reconstruct the scenario…

Mandar used to handle DSE and travel for the work .. so either Pallavi came for a college trip or something to hyderabad or he went kolhapur for some work and spotted Pallavi… immediately mesmerized by her beauty ( I so wish there were flashbacks.. I would love to see Pallavi in normal suits apart from sarees ) … started following her around.. gathered as much data about her as possible. came to know she was an orphan and crave for a family … meanwhile if he found any guy even talking about her , beat him up … one such fight might have been witnessed by Devyani…but she did not know who he was… then Mandar asked Aai to get his and Pallavi match fixed… aai agreed but on one condition that he will not meet her before marriage ( or he thought of pretending to be a good family guy to gain her favor)

their match has been proposed.. and they started talking the match hasn’t fixed or may be she said yes…At this point Devyani may have been out of station so when she came back and Pallavi showed her pictures of Mandar … she immediately got a flashback of the fight and thought of confronting the guy and clearing her doubt before destroying her friend’s fairyland…she called him up (or went with her family to hyderabad for some pre wedding ceremony)… asked him to meet her alone … when he came to meet her.. she confronted him and threatened him that she will not let her friend marry a devil like him and in a fit of anger he killed her… covered his tracks and went away.. the news of her bf demise broke her and she was very down.. using this Mandar might have tried to behave very supporting and somehow convinced her to get married asap so that she can have a change of the place that reminds her of her best friend..she being emotionally weak agreed plus She anyways grew fond of Aai… thus the wedding was rushed even before they got to know each other…

now coming to the post wedding events…

• he left her on the wedding night

why? he was so obsessed … did he really left to get bangles or for something else? or may be he pushed devyani off some cliff and got to know that she was alive … so went to finish the unfinished business or may be he is an accomplice of ved and went to help him in absconding…

• he got into an accident… admitted in a hospital by Raghav and was stable when left by Raghav…disappeared in morning…Raghav was lied to by the doctors

why? did he bribe the doctors to lie do that he can go and finish off devyani..or someone took him…

• he was found fallen from a great height and lost his memory remembering nothing but a name “Pallavi”

why? did while finishing off devyani he too fall ? in that case where is devyani? why her dead body wasn’t mentioned? or someone who took him from the hospital … drove all the way so far and threw him…

I tried to make sense of whatever information has been provided to us in the show? I am interested to see how writers will tie all loopholes and provide a concrete past of him…

update:

Mandar is not obsessed with Pallavi.. there is some other motive which is linked to Pallavi and yet to be revealed

he bought luxurious items including sports shoes, expensive phone and laptop

he is meeting to a mysterious biker guy who is blackmailing him for something and making him buy all this expensive stuff…

why is he blackmailing him?

update 2: the guy is blackmailing because he recorded his video of him pushing Aai…

and since writers decided to drop his whole storyline the whole plot went for toss.. and last is he is obsessed with Pallavi… and that’s the sole reason for his psychopath behavior…

Going by the show the makers have never bothered to close the past loopholes in a elaborate way…They used to highlight Raghav’s nightmare and his father & brothers death so many times in the initial track only to close it with a simple explanation from Raghav to Pallavi…

similarly Mandar’s obsessive behavior & devyani’s death has also been exposed through Mandar’s conversation with Pallavi…

probably Mandar missing on his wedding night and what happened thereafter we might see Ved telling to Pallavi..

Don’t expect any detail probing about the past. I don’t think we are getting one..in fact I am happy that they are at least giving logical reasons to the past loopholes…

It’s more like they just want to keep the viewers on the edge by giving everything in 21 minutes, drama, action, romance dialogue baazi, depth is something you won’t get it in this show…it’s more like how to spice up the next episode..

I am hooked to this show for two reasons 1. The leads, I connected to the show because of them

2. I know from where they are drawing parallels for their characters & plots/storyline and iam just curious to know how they go about it..I appreciate their intent to touch the subject and effort to show it in their own way…just hope for a logical execution…

I believe Sandip said they would reveal more about that fateful night later on. I wonder if they had created the backstory early on or if they writing and tweaking it based on audience response to current track.

yeah that’s why I recreated the scenario so that I can actually get some peace of mind… lets see for the unanswered question….I hope they address those because so far everyone is too shocked to react and think at his sudden reappearance and now with his revelation as a psychopath..after sometime when this gets settled.. these questions should be probed and answered…

They just commemorated Mandar's 29th birthday in 2021, and his marriage to Pallavi was December 1, 2018, which makes him 26 years old on his wedding day, four years older than Pallavi (unless her 25th birthday occurred without mention during the show's run).

Sharada wouldn't disapprove of Mandar meeting his prospective wife, and if she knew any disqualification of Mandar, she wouldn't allow him to hide it from the person joining her family.

When Raghav recollected that Dr. Janaki had told him that the patient's family came for him, I immediately thought that Sulochana got Mandar out of the hospital and disposed of him instead of taking him home. We know that Sulochana wants to own the family home, and just as Pallavi was her obstacle by earning income for Vijay's family, so was Mandar.

I jope makers give clarity about what had happened that night. It ll give more insight to his psychotic personality..🤞🤞🤞

I have some questions too as per the initial episodes Pallavi mentioned that long back baba came to hyd for livli hood then how come mandar stalked her daily?🙄🙄

Next after the fateful night of accident who discharged mandar and why?

If he was ok why didn’t he return home as pallavi was his wife?

Any way he told his yadash came back once he entered in deshmukh house then who is dr.Ramya?

According to me..this is not the truth about which M told pallavi…

Devyani definitely got to know his truth but which truth???is the biggest question here.

Personally i dont trust his stocking theory which he told pallavi.for this mare reason he killed devyani?????

The another question is devyani ki dead body…wo mili thi ya nahi ispe sari story depend karti hai.

Dr ramya and vishnu are gang members of mandar and involved in a shaddy business.so ambulance ke naam pe koi aur galat dhanda chal raha hai inka…

Ved and mandar on wedding night in front of each other is just a coincidence!!! Bcoz ved ne use bulaya hota to ved ye kyun bolta ki “ye to mandar deshmukh hai main janta hu isse”.cv’s can use ved to expose mandar at the end of the track.

Devyani got to know something huge and dangerous about him.thats for sure…

He is fooling pallavi that he loves her a lot..but iska asli intension kuch aur hai…

According to mihika he is into human and organ trafficking And he want to sell pallavi now so he is doing that…in the name of love.

But the biggest hurdle is raghav.because M knows the power of hyd don.iske hote hue p ko wo haath bhi nahi laga sakta .this is the reason he is adamant on p and R ka divorce !!! So that he can sell her for her organs easily..

But yahi wo galti karega…uska vinash R ke haatho hi likha hai😆

Ved ka loop isi liye open hai so that raghav will think of this ved angle and rescue P at the end and surely ved will help raghav to get P safely.

why he was out on wedding day was either someone escaped from the clutches of mandar’s gang members and m was searching that person!
